Allow Cantina Del Centro to transport you to the streets of Mexico via Kelowna, BC - where they have perfected the formula of authentically unique Mexican street food, craft cocktail service and a friendly, upbeat atmosphere.

Only accepting limited reservations in the evenings, allowing for the majority of our tables to be sat in a first come, first served basis.

If you do have a reservation with us, know you will have the table for 2 hours from the reserved time. We will hold the table for you for 15 minutes, if you are running late for any reason, please give us a call and let us know.

Credit card information is required for reservations of groups larger than 4 people. Due to limited seating, there is a No-Show Fee of $50.00 for those who do not show up for their reservation without notice of cancellation.

First time here -food was great as I love tacos, and Cantina has a wide variety- the three I had (fish, prawn and Argentinian beef) all were delicious with quite different spicing and condiments. Service was very good, friendly and prompt . The only two things that I’d take issue with is the tables were very close together - my wife and I were at a table that was between two groups of four on either side, and the distance the person beside me was less than an arms reach, less than 2 feet - felt very close in covid times, even with all patrons vaccinated. Second, someone pumped up the music volume half way through our meal - making it almost impossible to talk, had to shout. It went from being a lively atmosphere to being irritating. I’d go back for the food, but would have to think twice about busy times with covid still an issue. Certainly would do takeout.

The drinks were absolutely amazing, the food was as well, only complaint is the tacos were small but the natchos and every other dish were huge.

Food was tasty and nicely presented. Enchilada plate was insufficient for a main course, while the burrito was much better. After eating the enchilada with small dollops of refried beans and rice I was still hungry. Never had that occur in any Mexican restaurant anywhere. Service was efficient and friendly. An order of salsa and chips to start was $12. Some Mexican restaurants we have tried provide something similar without charge. I found it annoying that their printed menu had their house wine priced $2 less than actually charged on the bill. And the most irritating thing was their payment machine has tip options starting at 18% and up. I had to select the “other” option to add a more reasonable 15% tip. Left an impression of gouging in Kelowna’s tourist area. Not the vibe I would think the owners want to leave with a mostly local clientele that will keep it going through the lean non-tourist months. Atmosphere is clean-lines modern and pleasant. Overall a passable but not exceptional experience.

We were out to celebrate a friends birthday and honestly, the staff went way above and beyond. They helped us surprise our friend by a setting up the table for us and went out of their way to make our experience so much fun! The staff was wonderful and the food was delicious!

Portions are quite small, and menu items are pricey for what you get. Nice ambiance and the margaritas are delicious! No happy hour food items.
