   We have been here several times and really like the food. Service is good and you can’t beat the peaceful view.

   Pork chop was surrounded with a ring of runny, greasy grits, topped with greasy onion rings. Inedible. The tagliatelle for the mussels dish did not pair well with a jambalaya-style of sauce, however, the mussels were cooked perfectly.

   The chef and the bartender never disappoint. When fresh halibut is offered we always order it. The portion size is large compared to elsewhere, it’s always cooked to perfection and the presentation is always beautiful. The bartender makes a perfect martini. The service is always right on the mark. The sunroom is roomier than the main area and has a much better view of the river. My only complaint is their limited time for dining. Up to 4 people you are limited to dining for 90 minutes and they will ask you to leave after that time period AT BUSY TIMES. If possible, I suggest dining here on the weekdays they are open and at less busy times. If you like to dine rather than eat and run, and drive 90 minutes round trip to dine here, the time limit sucks. The experience is worth it so try to go when they aren’t crowded.

   Food took dining to a whole new level with attention to detail. Shrimp appetizer was excellent as was the Basque Cheesecake which essentially ruined me for any other kind of cheesecake.

   food and service was excellent as usual we had an issue with the hostess over where to get seated the hostess wanted to seat us at the table in the middle where we would have traffic going by us all through dinner the hostess finally sat us at a different table. i come from a time where you dont argue with the customer . if she finally sat us at a different table then why be confrontational. she could have just said sure i would be happy to give you a different table. as i saw the hostess through out our meal seating customers she never cracked a smile. if she is so unhappy or didnt feel well or maybe has some personal problems she would be better off not comming in at all
