The Capital Room is perfect for a business function or family celebration holding up to 44 guest. The Sun Room holds up to 55 people and can be divided into smaller areas for a more private setting if needed. We can customize a menu to fit any occasion or budget. we have a dedicated staff that will help you plan and execute your event for 2 to 60. Was disappointed relative to the prices paid. The restaurant is rather "worn" and the decor dated. I could easily see the edge of a two-person booth close to our table, was completely worn down exposing bare wood. Looked like it was not often used for seating people and servers over years and years walked by the table rubbing against it. That tells you how old fixtures and furnishings are in the place. Above the same booth, the ceiling light fixture wasn't secured snug to the ceiling and the top plate was hanging loose. The bathroom, apparently neither towel dispenser was functioning, so there were two rolls of paper towels just sitting on the sink vanity. The restrooms in a quality steak house should be very clean and this was not. An odd assortment of some personal care products sat in a plastic tub on the vanity. Again, not a great look. The server was very personable and friendly, the only fault with the server was for a large table for 7, rather than walking around the perimeter of the table to place items down in front of each guest, the server would extend whatever was in hand across the entire table, leaving it up to the guest to "meet in the middle" of the table and place it down themselves. Again, not what you'd expect from a steakhouse. The prices charged were on par with really good steakhouses in the area, but serving sizes and quality were not to match. This dinner was in honor of my wife's birthday, a tradition we started 3 years ago, always going to the same, excellent steak house. I couldn't book a reservation for our group size at the time we needed this year, so I decided to try Capital City Chop House. I could see in her face it wasn't in line with the tradition and I feel I've let her down. This could definitely be a nice place, it would require investment, training and better food preperation. Not insurmountable things. I hope this becomes a place I'd try down the road agian.

Went to dinner at your location on 12/23/24. The restaurant is very nice, the food was lackluster. I ordered a Ribeye and when our food arrived I had a NY Strip. I didn’t say anything as we had waited for a while and were ready to eat. I actually prefer a NY Strip but this one was super tough and under cooked (I ordered medium and this one was close to rare). Our server was good, I would say great if he kept up with drinks for our group.

First and last visit. Basic. Overcooked steaks and seafood. Baked Brie and bang bang shrimp appetizers were great and so were the rolls and mushroom soup. Everything else not so good.

Very heavy on the salt. Sauce for scallops was super salty and coming from someone who loves salt, it was just too salty. The brussel sprouts were the consistency of baby food. They appeared to be crispy, but they were soggy and mushy. My husband ordered a steak medium rare and it was medium well. The best was the appetizer with Brie cheese, honey, and sliced apples. That was the best thing we ate there. After our food was delivered and the waiter finally came to check on us after we started eating, I told him the scallops are very salty and he had the audacity to tell me he could change my meal had I not eaten 2 of the 6 salty scallops. How would I have known if I did not eat them? Well, when you do not stop back by after about 15-20 minutes, what did he expect? He did not offer to substitute or offer something different. I did not know it was my fault that the chef(s) did not cook the meal well. I asked for greens beans to be substituted for the brussel sprouts and he did do that but not until I asked. There were about 4 tables that needed to be in private room as they were all together and extremely loud. I was unable to even have a conversation with my husband. I would have expected a manager to intervene and ask them to be more courteous but that did not happen either. There were many other patrons there trying to enjoy their meals also and this place just has no class about them or care about their customers. Needless to say, I'll take myself elsewhere. It was a lot of money for what it was. Don't waste your money here as there are a lot of other fine restaurants in the area that supercedes this place.

We were celebrating my sons's Graduation from Elon University .. His Doctorate in PT..The food and service was amazing, the waitress was friendly and personable...great night. Will definitely come back

Upon arrival was not impressed. No outside lights on , thought possibly closed. Found the front desk staff unfriendly. Our wait staff was outstanding and the food was good. Left with a better outlook
