    At the start the service was excellent but slowed towards the end, giving the fealing that they had forgotten us but that apart it did not spoil the night. Location is ideal, if a bit isolated, onthe water front, would be great on a summers day.Not an exstensive choice of food but suffcient. Ambience is a bit "cold looking" but saying that it was our second visit.

    We went for dinner for my fiancée's birthday. The restaurant was very well decorated and first impressions were good. We were seated straight away and the restaurant was quiet when we arrived. The food was excellent, there was plenty of choice and it was all very reasonably priced. In fact, the bill was far lower than we were expecting! Would definitely visit again, I'm sure the views would be lovely over the bay during sunset.

    Loved it, lovely view from our table into the waterfront, service was fab, best roast dinner

    Food was great, plenty of choice on menu. Great, friendly staff and the surroundings were very modern, lovely fixtures and fittings. Near to cruise terminal, really enjoyable, with good wine choices.

    We checked it out prior to our booked evening meal. Finished up having lunch really nice & quality was very good. This was extended on the Tuesday evening (steak night) where the food was once again cooked to perfection & excellent quality. Definitely worth a visit. A bit off the beaten track but check this place out 1 mile from Albert Dock.

    So disappointed, the restaraunt was empty, disappointed because it shouldn't be empty. First, the greeting when we arrived put us at ease right away, my wife and I were celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary, on hearing this a free glass of wine appeared, brilliant, my wife had the soup of the day, I had barbecued chicken wings, both were lovely. For the main we both had the sea bass, well cooked and tasted lovely. We could not eat a sweet after that , we were stuffed. I must congratulate the staff, they were fantastic. One slight niggle, my wife had a brandy , and wanted dry ginger, only had ginger ale, did not taste nice, but we could not let that spoil our night, will go again

    We won't be eating at Cargo's again, found it was disappointing the food was very bland, I had fish and chips, it came the fish was over cooked, and looked as though it had been cooked from frozen. There was a handful of chips and a small amount of salad which was coved in an oily minty dressing.

    We went for the Sunday roast which was excellent, no scrimping on the meat , the sweets were very good , just like homemade , will definitely go again , maybe Sunday breakfast ?

    We had a lovely dinner at Cargo and even got to see the sun setting over the Mersey. Opted not to have a starter and we were not disappointed with our meals. Seafood platter and the lamb chops. Couldn't even manage a desert! Really lovely meal and friendly efficient service. Would recommend.
