Food was banginggg, lovely atmosphere everyone is so nice. I’d recommend the oxtail personally I will be back !!

Dined at this new restaurant and cocktail bar recently. It was nice to see an authentic Jamaican restaurant in the middle of the city centre. Nicely designed. A separate bar area for drinks only. Food was tasty and cocktails were good. We had, curry mutton, oxtail and rice and peas. Also had honey chicken wings to start, they were delicious. Finished off with a pina colada which was a good size with a generous amount of rum. Great atmosphere. Polite attentive staff. Reggae music playing in the background which added to the ambience. My only very small criticism is that, the honey wings were ordered as a starter, but came out with the main dish, so we were eating our starter while the main dish was going cold. I informed our server of this, so hope it will be rectified.

We booked a table for 12pm and the restaurant wasn’t open and there was no number for us to call. We waited 30mins but it still wasn’t open so had to dine elsewhere. Confused as to why they let us book a table for 12pm if they knew they wouldn’t open at 12. We were very disappointed.

Overall disappointing. The owner Ricky was extremely rude about "Black people need to do better", and called my table of around 12-14 people embarrassing due to everyone paying for their individual meals and drinks, and not paying collectively even though I had offered to take the bill off the other manager to make it more efficient, and work out everyones food. (Normal procedure for a big group). The other manager who was nice at the time, decided to list the items what was had on the table one by one for people to pay as she went along, which took ages and caused a lot of confusion and in my opinion overpayment. Ricky made a lot of comments which the entire table considered to be quite derogatory to black individuals, which absolutely baffled us given the nature of the business. He also recorded our table without permission, which also made my party uncomfortable. The food was not it, a lot of issues were overlooked given the fact that it was a new business and Sasha tried to resolve any issues and to apologise for his comments. At least 20 minutes wait for drinks to arrive, considering we were the only ones in the establishment and when we did try to go to the bar to order a drink, we was rudely sent back to the table to wait for someone to take the order. Also inconsistent, if you ordered two of the same drink, they tasted, looked and were different sizes. However, it is clear that he seems to have some problem around black individuals going to his restaurant, which is evident with a post that he posted on social media after the occasion. Hence, I question Sasha’s professionalism as after my sisters initial review on BOB, Sasha spoke to a family friend that was not there on two occasions, trying to downplay and fabricate what actually happened, and asked for any further reviews to not be made, which is very frustrating and leads me to believe that she does not actually want to learn from their mistakes.

Attended with 7 others and it was unfortunate that there was a long wait between the first and last person being served. However, if you want authentic Caribbean meals then this is the place to go. My sister and I decided that we would share the XL Platter and gave it mixed reviews. Both agreed that the chicken was spot on, rice was a trifle cold, prawns were perfect and whilst I enthused about the mac and cheese she felt that it was 'ok'. Other members of the party although not enthusiastic felt that meals were fine and def authentic as claimed. We all felt that the portions were very generous but shouldn't be reduced!! I am not sure if I could finish the XL Platter on my own but if you have a 'big belly' then this is the dish for you. We suspect that the delay in the food arriving at our table and the coldness of the rice was down to it being their first Sunday opening and worthy of a second visit. Personally, I always feel like I could do better at home but didn't feel that way with C&C. Personally, I can't wait to return and become a regular.
