Carlyle Grill, an Ann Arbor mainstay has proudly served the Ann Arbor Community since 2006. We work with some of Michigan’s finest food producers and purveyors to bring you the freshest offerings around. From steak dinners to burgers and salads and everything in between, we pride ourselves on providing you the best in flavor – offering generous portions to feed the hungriest of guests.

Comfort is the theme at our relaxed, family-friendly restaurant, where the menu runs to familiar, home-style dishes with top-notch regional ingredients. Enjoy our welcoming atmosphere featuring colorful yet classic design elements – bringing in added warmth and comfort with deep mahogany accents and large flagstone columns in our main dining room.

During the warmer seasons, take advantage of the two open-air dining areas surrounding the restaurant. We also have a dedicated, breathtaking dining room available for large reservations or private dining events.

    My shrimp pasta was very good but my wife’s shrimp cakes dish was only fair. Our biggest complaint was slow and very inattentive service. My wife got up twice to refill her own water glass. It appeared that we were a bother to the wait staff.

    We were seated very close to our reservation time. The restaurant was very busy, and noisy walking in. The noise didn't bother us once we were seated. I'm sorry I didn't get our servers name -- she was everything I appreciate in a server -- very pleasant and efficient. We didn't have any special requests. The food was excellent -- we both had the same thing which is what we wanted before we got there -- salmon, redskin potatoes and veggies. All in all a very good experience.

    The food and ambiance is always excellent and our favorite server Caitlin does an impeccable job and is always top notch!

    We were a little early and it was not busy at all. It filled up quickly. We had rib eye and the steak frites* OMGOSH so good! Haven’t had a steak so good in a long time. Our server didn’t tell us about the specials….. we would have had the Brussels sprouts had we known. But the service was great for my husbands birthday!

    This is ordinarily one of our favorite places -- but Thanksgiving was a real disappointment. The service was very lackadaisical -- the young waiter didn't offer bread plates, water, none of the usual amenities (like checking back). Others had better service. I left a ten percent tip. The dressing was appalling (just a bunch of cornbread chunks lightly moistened), the pecan pie was a complete disaster (caramel soup), the turkey hugely overcooked, the prime rib not available. And we were there at 6:15. Either they are going to offer holiday meals or not. If so, this was not worth even half of the huge price (31 plus additional for choice of meat).

    Carlyle Grill never disappoints in regard to food or service, but on one of those 'tough' days, in this case, Thanksgiving, they delivered in full. While the restaurant was at capacity, it never felt excessive (their seating layout helps); the servers were in excellent form; and dining options (choose 1 of 4 mains, the sides are presented family style, and choose a dessert)surely made things easier for their kitchen, but also made it easy to pick/choose from the platter of starches and veggies, all deliciously prepared....allowing for a far more enjoyable dining experience.

    Always a pleasant dining experience. The food was well seasoned and definitely warm - very tasty. We will visit the Carlyle Grill again soon.
