Carmine's on McGregor Square is a family-style Italian restaurant located in the ballpark neighborhood. We take pride in making our dishes with the freshest ingredients, sourced locally when we can.     Our 1st visit so it took us a bit to figure out how the menu worked. Once we did we over ordered but took home lots of yummy leftovers. Food was all very good. Appreciated availability of gluten free options. Disappointed that they ignored that we indicated we had a birthday at the table when we made a reservation. It’s very confusing to get to the front of the restaurant from the parking garage elevators.

    Wasnt seated until 45 min after reservation time on Valentines Day. They did not offer any compensation to make up for the hugely delayed seating time, and i had to ask to have something comped to make up for it. They gave a free dessert, though the cake we got was pretty dry. Overall the food was pretty good with some misses. The Caesar salad was delicious, highlight of the night really. The Bolognese with ziti was very good, though the noodles were on the dry side. Again, the Chocolate cake dessert was dry and my girlfriend wouldnt eat more than a bite of it. Overall i would not recommend this restaurant to anyone i know.

    Excellent experience. The waiter was quite attentive and the food was prepared exactly to our liking. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone planning a date night or just a casual evening downtown.

    For the majority of our dinner we felt like we were the only people here and the service was amazing
