Caruso's Grocery in Pike and Rose is modeled after the classic, Italian-American "red sauce" joint. You know the one: nostalgic photos on the walls , a killer chicken parmesan, Sinatra pouring through the speakers.     Caruso’s Pike and Rose is fantastic. Beau and Jamal took excellent care of us when we visited for our anniversary. Our favorite bites were the chicken parm, shrimp scampi, and the Oreo cheesecake (on special - if they don’t have it when you go, we recommend the Creme brûlée). Our favorite part of Caruso’s is how cozy and homey it feels - truly old school Italian vibes. The staff is excellent and they give great recommendations. You can’t go wrong at Caruso’s.

    Way overpriced for portions. We were seated in an empty back room and felt like we were banished from the crowd. Our server was very good but it felt like we were eating in an empty closet. The price for spaghetti and meatballs was usurious.

We take pride in crafting our dishes from scratch, including handmade pastas; like the spaghetti and meatballs and linguini- I'm sorry it didn’t meet expectations. As for the seating, it was a quick decision to seat your party promptly on a busy evening.     Food was very good, standard Italian (but sometimes that's not a bad thing). However, service was slooooow. Place wasn't full, so maybe they were understaffed? Regardless, we waited a long time for drinks and every course. The restaurant missed out on opportunities to sell us more (second round of drinks, dessert). Not sure if we'll go back

    Hi Lisa, Thank you for your feedback. I just left you a voicemail, as I’d love to connect and address your concerns. Sundays can be tricky, and while the restaurant didn’t appear busy, we had over five large parties (5–8 people) between 5:00 PM and 6:30 PM, which put a strain on the kitchen and bar, leading to longer wait times. Your server admitted to missing the opportunity to check in for a second drink and asked me to extend her apologies. While I made my way around that evening, please know everyone is always welcome to request assistance from any team member—we’re all here to be of service.     Nice cozy place with very good service but food quality is uneven (calamari were very good but pasta was overcooked and the seafood fra diavolo was like a soup)

    Good food, good ambience, good service. Overall, a winner. Just a little bit on the pricey side, but that is part of the new normal.

    We had a wonderful experience at Caruso's. Our server was excellent--knowledgable, very patient, and kind. A nice man in glasses checked on us too. It was a special meal with old friends. Somehow we got a complimentary round of Limoncello?! We didn't order it--it was a nice touch! We will be back!

    The host and our server were both lovely. Food was so-so to good--nothing remarkable or particularly standout. My "salad special" came on a modest, 8-inch glass dish that appeared right out of the 80s and looked like a small house salad plate; very little about the item appeared or tasted "special." The tables are pretty tight in the room and there was a large party of 10 that were placed in the regular dining room with other tables--and the group was so loud that sometimes our server had to stop talking because she knew she couldn't be heard. Although the service was nice, I would have a hard time recommending this restaurant to other based on the food and ambience. Thanks for the opportunity to give feedback.

    With the exception of not getting to see Beau, we had another outstanding evening at Caruso‘s. Our waiter Sam was fantastic, and our gifted meatball appetizer was beyond appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our Caesar salad, the spicy Ragu and the calamari— all were excellent. We enjoyed the bourbon, old-fashioned and the Chianti. We love coming to Caruso’s and leave feeling the same way every time.

    Solid establishment. Food was uniformly well-prepared and flavorful. We both had the chicken parmigana. It was tenders and perfectly prepared. The had the right amount of spice and complemented the subtlety of the chicken. Service was great. We’ll be going back.
