Cassis Bistro is a cozy gem offering award-wining elevated French cuisine and inventive cocktails. Founded by Gilles Brassart and his wife Andrea, our bistro brings the authentic flavours of Provence to Calgary. The menu, curated by Executive Chef/Partner Dominique Moussu, features dishes like house-made ravioli, steak frites, wild salmon, and duck confit, all crafted with the freshest local ingredients.

Our server was excellent. The wine selections by the bottle and glass are very good. We have been there numerous times however our dinner that evening was overly salty especially the fish dish. If you dont care for a lot of noise dont go there on a Friday or Saturday night.

We had a reservation at Cassis on a Friday early evening which was very nice till more people came into the restaurant . Our table was the first table closest to the bar area . Every time the front door open we received a direct cool draft from the doorway . I did mention this to our excellent server Martin saying they will be correcting this problem in the near future . Aside from this problem we were treated well as Cassis staff were very watchful making sure we were looked after . The salads were fabulous and main courses ordered were delicious and the wine selected made our evening that much better . Thank you !

Amazing as always. It's getting pricier though. Food was excellent, wine list precisely crafted. The restaurant was packed, which is nice to see. But service was struggling to catch up. I love this restaurant, have been there many times and will come back every time I can.

Beef tartar, Market fish, Boeuf Bourgignon... all sublime, experienced it before, never gets old, amazing service and the owner greets you at the door... great atmosphere, amazing service. Basically what amazing dining should always be like.

Didn’t appeal to us. Bartender was good, food quality wasn’t there. Server tried, but had many tables and did not inquire about food allergies or restrictions. Beef was try and steak overdone. Maybe they had an off night.

The food was tasty, but we weren't very adventurous - we had the fish croquettes as a starter and steak frites for the main. The steak comes pre-sliced with your choice of sauce on the side, and it was cooked perfectly. I had the herbal sauce - I think I'd try the peppercorn if I was ordering it again. Really, it was the tiny tables and the noise that I wasn't fond of. The creme brule for dessert was fantastic - and enough to share. The wine list was acceptable, and the staff are knowledgeable concerning recommendations. I felt that the cab sav that we chose could have used decanting as it didn't open up until halfway through the meal. I would like to go back and try some other items. They make fois gras which is one of my favourite starters - I'm motivated to return for that reason alone.

Lovely owner, great service and yummy authentic French food in a warm, intimate setting. A refreshing change from overpriced pretentious downtown restaurants.

For the love of French cuisine and French culture located in the Beltline of Calgary, Cassis Bistro is the place. I was blown away by their exceptional food and wine list. Of course we had champagne by the glass and a French 75! The croquettes, the ravioli, the mushroom soup, the beef tartare and mussels frites! What I didn’t think we had room for was the desserts but I’m glad we did. The lemon tart and the creme brûlée was like being back in Lyon, France.
