Catch Hospitality Group's eighth location, Catch Dallas, will be opening it's doors in the iconic and historic Maple Terrace Development this Fall. The 16,000 square-foot dining destination in Uptown Dallas will be complete with a two-level outdoor patio and private events in the signature space, the Emerald Room.
The menu will marry simple yet elegant seafood, sushi, and steak both globally and locally influenced alongside beloved signature dishes like the Catch Roll and Truffle Sashimi. Catch Dallas will feature premium Japanese specialties like luxury sushi selections from Tokyo's Toyosu Market and a unique variety of Japanese Wagyu, which is masterfully seared tableside on a hot rock.

Food was excellent, although the portion sizes seem small in comparison to other similar restaurants, say for example Komodo. Our server was very disappointing. The biggest issue I had was that my friend ordered a mocktail and received the alcoholic version. And when we told him, he wasn’t very remorseful and didn’t handle it professionally. While the person who ordered the mocktail was not pregnant or a recovering alcoholic, there was someone at that table who was and imagine if they took a sip of that drink? Also, he just wasn’t a good server. He kept trying to force us to get the edamame and shishito peppers without even giving us a chance to look at the menu. He asked us multiple times if we were good on cocktails to which we kept saying yes, it seemed like he just wanted to get us to order more drinks to make the tab larger. He also asked more than once about desert after we told him no. He was also not very attentive and overall was just not that pleasant.

Great atmosphere, food, and service. Our server was over the top and new the menu extensively, and wine list is excellent. Everything was top notch. Will definitely be back.

I’ve heard reviews about this place but from other locations so I didn’t have the highest expectations. I chose to self park in the garage with a validated ticket. We sat on the patio which was nice, but it was pretty windy when we got there and cooled down quite a bit after about an hour. The heaters were a nice addition for those of us who get cold easily. Customer service was pretty good…no complaints there. The menu was too small with odd options. It seemed like many dishes had an Asian flare which I wasn’t too thrilled with. The drinks were decent. The look of the place was the best part. I don’t feel a need to return.

Expected more for my birthday dinner. Drinks took a while and service was “ok”. Our waiter knew it was my birthday and never acknowledged it when dessert came. He was very cold and unfriendly. Food was great, but too expensive. Won’t be back.

Food was good, waiter was nice, but they made us leave our table to give it to another group after only being there for an hour. Felt like someone was more important than us. They forgot to bring a dish out for us as well. Once they moved us to sit at the bar area, no one offered us a drink and we were there an hour. It is definitely a scene but wasn’t overly special. Great service would’ve made it better
