The negatives were that we had to wait 10 minutes for 1 of the entrees and the lamb chops were half fat.

I like the new menu but wish some of the originals were still there. I loved the salmon the way it used to be much better than the new version. I do however love the new soup and the accompanying arugala and sauce with falafal. The veggies were overcooked, that was very dissappointing...though undoubtedly the flavor was there. It just might have been the day and they have always been consistent, I hope this was just a one off.

We make a point of eating at Cedars any time we are in the neighborhood - even if we need to take a slight detour to get there! Worth the drive! Authentic and delicious! Such good flavors! We will be back!

Horrible service here overall. Slow service in spite of very few people in the place, and after waiting 50 minutes for a sandwich, the waitress came over and told us that she forgot to put in our order! And that it would be another long wait. Ridiculous. We got up and left and had to go find somewhere else to eat. I will never go back.

My friend and I went there before a visit to the DuSable Museum in Hyde Oark, and both had marvelous soups (lentil is their house special, wonderful and spicy) and terrific fresh and robust salads. Wonderful lunch spot in Hyde Park, with free parking right at the front door, as it's in a little strip mall.

Someone might want to tell the waiter about Open table, he didn't have a clue about Open Table or my reservation. Have to ask twice for extra bread then ask the other waitress to bring it. Also she had to bring extra water and my meal. I didn't understand why he was my waiter, he was constantly doing other things beside waiting on my daughter and myself. Food is good but service was horrible and a turnoff. I will come back w/o the waiter.

We have been here many times, and planned a group dinner with out of town guests this time. Sunday evening was not too noisy and not crowded. Polite service and food came out quickly and for the whole table at once. Many of our party were vegetarian and they were happily fed. Portions are substantial, so many entrees can be shared. Food was fresh and tasty, and our dining experience was great. We were so happy our guests found this place to be excellent as well. Glad to bring them here and proud of this restaurant in our neighborhood of Hyde Park. The prices are great too. Just days earlier we spent 4 times as much at the new Hyde Pk Restaurant A10 and food wasn't nearly as good. We will pick Cedars from now on! Great Healthy Food!
