Centrolina is an Italian restaurant and market, locally owned and operated by Chef Amy Brandwein, set in Washington’s CityCenterDC development. The Osteria showcases a seasonally driven menu of authentic and innovative Italian dishes offered for lunch and dinner. Chef Brandwein's menu is inspired from the seasons, Italian regionality and the wide variety of Chef curated product in the adjoining market.

The market showcases a selection of imported Italian specialty items along with locally sourced meat, sustainable fish, and produce from local farms. The Centrolina kitchen produces daily hand crafted fresh pasta and sauces, antipasti and entrees available for takeaway.

Chef Amy will cook, in front of your eyes, her favorite dishes created for Centrolina’s 2024 collaboration dinners. Reservations are available at 5 pm and 8:30 pm. $150 per person plus drinks. This is one of my favorite restaurants in DC, but the Seven Fishes dinner was not up to par. We went two years ago and the meal was better. Tonight the pastas did not really have any distinguishing taste. They felt overwhelmed with butter.

Wonderful service and food. Really love the ambiance and the quality. Only down side was the 5% charge added to the bill, notated as NOT a tip but a service charge due to increasing cost to run the business. As a business owner myself I would not charge a fee rather if you need more money just charge more for your items. We tip 20% minimum everywhere we go but to be charged an extra 5% on top of the bill seems strange. Some people will just leave when they see that. I guess I appreciate the honesty however considering the menus are printed daily at this restaurant they could just raise the prices and then no one would be aware or need to know about the extra "we're hurting and business is tough" charge. Again - I own businesses. I understand. It's been rough the past two years.

the space and the service were so warm and inviting and the food was outstanding! lovely wine list and dessert is not to be missed, any of them but especially the “tiramisu”’

I’m a repeat visitor to the restaurant. The food quality across all courses is the source of greatest satisfaction. I frequently do not choose pasta simply out of a desire to enjoy other dishes from the multi-talented staff. The Salvadoran chefs and servers are among the best in town.

Centrolina promises more than it delivers. Started with the bread-ok. Carrots raw and despite asking for no walnuts due to a family member anaphylaxis, wasn’t respected. No offer to replace. Waiter simply didn’t care. No dolce vita here. Pasta dishes tried to be fancy….ok flavours but no depth and substance. Ordered the pork shoulder but the waiter said it would take over an hour to prepare and that even though our booking as 7.30pm, was told the kitchen would be closed!! Seriously BIZARRE!! Squab was excellent in flavour but not enough to but a smile on the face of the head chef/owner who looked stressed at the pass all night. Nice setting with open kitchen and bar but they have problems with the menu and the attitude of the servers. Fix this up and they might have a good restaurant.

The food and service were outstanding; we had the crudo yellowfin as appetizer the branzino fish as entree, both were delicious. The cocktails finally were served on the right glasses this time which was much appreciated: everything was top notch and we felt very well received and taken care of by the receptionist on a very busy holiday season day.

It was excellent. Verde salad is a must. The pork shank was very good, juicy, flavorful. The staff makes it worthwhile.
