    We visited with friends - we were seated on time and in the booth we requested Drinks arrived as orders as did the leal. Two of us had filets - mine was a little under cooked but acceptable. However it was very salty - very salty. Would be better to let the guest salt the meat. And although the service was good, the were several times when we needed something (for example we had to flag someone down for steak knifes - and then later to get a slice of lemon. Not sure how the waiter rotation works but it seemed we were the only table he had in our area -- and his path to the bar or to pick up food never required he return pass us.

    Treated my Wife for her Birthday. I couldn't have picked a better option. We both had steak, the Ribeye, and New York Strip. They were ordered Medium and was Cooked Perfect. The flavor and texture was the best I ever had. The sides where just as Good! The Cocktails were perfectly made! Overall Best dining experience we have had in Huntsville and we eat out often. Char will definitely be in the rotation.

    We always enjoy Char and the staff is outstanding. Our table this time and last wasn’t our favorite, but other than that we were very pleased.

    Waited 40' past reservation time. Wrong item on plate. Mgr never apologized or came to table for either discrepancy. Bar tender skills have struggled last few times...with simple Old Fashion being well below par. Plan for long wait for food. Filet was best in city, crab claws are great. Upgrade a new mgr, bartender training and hostess that can manage reservations, this can be a top level restaurant.

    Fantastic experience as always. The staff is so pleasant and the food and drinks are consistently great. I had the Seabass tonight and it was so flavorful and cooked perfectly.

    We went there to celebrate our anniversary, using a gift card we received. The staff was excellent. Since we noted the anniversary on our reservation, the manager offered desserts on the house. The staff and service was excellent. The crab cakes are amazing. The gumbo is very good, as was the pecan pie we enjoyed for dessert. Our entrees (filet + prime rib) were good, but not exceptionally better than you would find at a moderate chain steak house like Longhorn. It's definitely a place to go when you want to "splurge" for a special occasion. Otherwise, the food is not so much better in proportion to the higher prices.

    This is the second time we have eaten at Char and my spouse's ribeye steak was tough. He doesn't think it is the cook but thinks it is a cheap quality of meat they are using at a high end restaurant. We DO NOT recommend ordering the ribeye!

    We will be back. Went to jazz brunch, but you could only hear the music in the bar area. They could pipe the sound through a PA system or something
