Charley's Steak House is owned by the Woodsby family and has operated in Florida since 1974. Charley’s serves only three-year-old USDA prime and choice Angus steers, aging them four to six weeks for tenderness & flavor and hand-cutting the steaks daily to ensure consistent quality. The steaks are then flame-broiled over Florida citrus and oak wood in a custom-built pit at 1200º searing in the tantalizing taste that has made Charley’s the #1 steakhouse in America every year since 2007! Charley’s philosophy of providing only the finest extends from the kitchen to the wine cellar. The wine list approaches 1000 selections from scores of exceptional wineries around the globe. Charley’s has been recognized with numerous awards including “Best of Award of Excellence” from Wine Spectator magazine, DiRōNA and Orlando Magazine’s“ Best Steak House & Best Old Favorite”.     Took the family out for Christmas dinner and we enjoyed the atmosphere by having our own room to dine. Our servers were attentive, proactive and super helpful with everything. Our first time there and would recommend visiting once. Top notch service and food.

    Service was exquisite. Calamari was very tender and lightly breaded. Was excellent. Steaks were solid, but not to die for. Potatoes excellent.

    Wonderful experience, Bill was our incredible and very knowledgeable waiter. He was attentive and polite. We will be back the next time we’re in Tampa.

    Overcooked on the 28oz not aged porterhouse and a way under cooked filet. Wife asked for medium on the filet and got rare. I mentioned it to the waitstaff, flashlight on and said yeah that’s rare… he did ask if we wanted another one but wife didn’t want to be a burden and didn’t want to hold up the party. She only ate 1/4 of the steak around the edges. Disappointing when you drop $100 / steak. Probably just an off night. Very early 5pm reservations, so maybe the grills weren’t up to proper temp. I understand theirs a lot of variables to cooking steak perfectly and I’ve had perfection from Charley’s before. Not tonight. Wait staff, amazing as always!

    It was very warm in the restaurant. The 2 seater booth had an uncomfortable feel that slanted forward. The food was mostly enjoyable. They offered dessert options which we decided on simply to celebrate a birthday, however with the $15 cheesecake they also brought a sundae with a candle. Would’ve been nice to know they planned on bringing the sundae, we would not have ordered the cheesecake.
