Ottmo ristorante con bellissima vista. Abbiamo mangiato un king crab strepitoso. Personale molto gentile e premuroso.

Pessima esperienza. Non so se il problema sia il ristorante oppure OpenTable. In ogni caso l’accoglienza è stata fredda, formale e scortese. Avevo segnalato che si trattava del compleanno di mio marito ed avevo anche scritto un messaggio per chiedere di darmi un buon tavolo panoramico e magari preparare un dolce per spegnere una candelina simbolica, risultato: siamo stati totalmente ignorati, la candela fortunatamente l’avevo portata io e l’abbiamo spenta su un dolcetto singolo, prima di farci sedere ci hanno fatto attendere 25 minuti senza nemmeno scusarsi e ci hanno fatto sedere solo quando io, ormai spazientita, mi sono alzata per protestare. La cosa che mi ha sorpreso è stata che poi, quando ci siamo seduti, in un tavolo tondo per almeno 8 persone (eravamo 4), ho notato che almeno un paio di tavolo da 4 in ottima posizione sono rimasti vuoti per l’intera serata. Ripeto,credo che il problema nasca da una interpretazione molto personale del rapporto tra questo particolare ristorante e OpenTable, però non mi è successo solo a Monterey, ma anche a San Diego al ristorante Donovan.. In ogni caso il vostro slogan dice “non vediamo l’ora di avervi con noi” o qualcosa del genere. In questo caso non è stato così! Credo che opentable dovrebbe chiarire meglio la propria politica di accoglienza con i suoi ristoranti.

My husbands food was excellent, he had the Filet and Lobster tail, but we both had the Mashed Potatoes, which were served luke warm I would say. I had the Sea Bass (regular item) It was cooked perfectly but the taste was a little fishy. He kindly shared a few bites of his dinner with me. The wine was very good, and the desserts were to to die for, we had the Creme Brulee' flight and the Cheesecake with strawberry sauce. The couple seated behind us were having an issue with their payment and the man talked very loudly throughout our sitting, so sort of spoiled the experience, and I initially was not feeling well when we arrived but after eating I felt better. Needless to say I was hoping for a better experience overall, we had not been to this Chart House for many years, and it seemed for the prices they charge the food should have been beyond excellent.

We’re locals and enjoy dining at the Chart House. Our waitress was just too busy to offer the service we wanted. She took far too long to check on us the entire evening. As for the food, it wasn’t hot when received it was just warm. Overall it was ok but could have been better.

My friends and I dined at the Charthouse to celebrate a birthday. We selected the filet mignon, prime rib and pasta with shrimp. All entrees were delicious and cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed the beautiful view of the ocean. Our server Crystal was delightful and went above and beyond to make our dining experience perfect!

We had the pleasure of dining here while in Monterey. As soon as we entered, we were greeted with a smile. We sat at the bar for a cocktail (highly recommend the classic martini) and then were seated at our reservation time at a window table as requested. Our server, Ashley, was absolutely wonderful. Attentive, kind, funny and always checking in, but not to the point of being intrusive. Our meals were served promptly. The prime rib was one of the best we've had, and the shrimp pasta was buttery with just enough garlic. Lava cake for desert is a must, along with an espresso martini. A wonderfully perfect evening thanks to Ashley and an incredible team. Would highly recommend.

This Chart House is beautiful inside and with great views. The service and food was excellent. We love that it is not loud and we could converse easily while we ate and drank. Loved the experience. The Asian green beans as a side is recommended.
