Located in Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood, Chemistry is Chicago's premier Black-owned Steakhouse! Enjoy the most delicious steak while experiencing excellent white-glove service. Chemistry exemplifies black excellence at its finest.

When the creator of Chemistry first started dating, he wondered "If there were only a place that was breathtaking upon entry, amazing live bands and DJ's, delicious photographable food, good service, along with a place to get up and dance," he’d show up as much as his pockets could afford. However that place didn’t exist, until now. Chemistry, the perfect mix of a high-end late-night steakhouse, booming brunch spot, and tantalizing nightlife vibes all created to be the perfect place to experience love!

I have NO complaints, critiques or anything remotely close to negative to say. This experience was phenomenal! The ambiance was gorgeous, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was good! We had the Cesar salad for an appetizer, the chicken and cowboy for an entrees, the chicken comes with mashed red skinned potatoes and we ordered Brussels sprouts and fries for sides. Everything was seasoned perfectly (except the fries) the portion sizes were good (if you’re hungry you’ll be full, and if not you’ll have plenty of leftovers). The presents of the cowboy was dramatic (in a good way). The staff attire was professional and creative. The theme of Chemistry was played out throughout the entire experience and it was a great time. And… they had live music! 10 out of 10 HIGHLY recommend!!

I loved the atmosphere, What a way to celebrate my birthday. loved everything about Chemistry. From the service to the food and the the music. Also, loved the lived band they had loved their music selection I’ll definitely give them a 10/10 we will definitely see you again

This was my first time dining at Chemistry. My Husband and I came to celebrate my Birthday 🎂! The ambience, the chemist, the food, music and overall vibes. I had a wonderful time for my birthday. I highly recommend coming here for a date night or to celebrate a birthday. My chemist made sure I had a great time. She kept telling me I was shining. I definitely stood out in my dress. Lastly, we had the best seat in the house right by the stage; I even had a mini photoshoot. Bring some cash for pictures.

This was my first time discovering this amazing establishment in the heart of Hyde park! I have to give tremendous kudos to the owner of this business who clearly put so much thought and care into curating this space and ensuring all of the staff here provide a tremendously pleasurable experience! From the moment you enter this place, the flower filled entryway is like a portal into good vibes, great food, and a smiling warm staff! I brought my sister here who is visiting from Toronto really not knowing anything about this place. I saw that it is Black owned and I enjoy supporting Black owned establishments so thought we’d give it a try. I’m so glad we did! Live music on a Monday night! Where do they do that? At Chemistry! (I’m honestly not sure if this is an everyday thing or not but it was wonderful). The entire place had a beautiful “Love themed” ambiance, with the menu organized on that theme and even conversation cards on each table! We barely could move past the first item on the menu which was honey glazed salmon strips- what kind of heavenly appetizer is that?! And it did not disappoint! It was perfectly cooked and flavorful! (This was the theme for the night) I ordered the truffle Alfredo with chicken and my sister had the blacken salmon with fried rice and brussel sprouts. Pure perfection! The band playing was wonderful, playing soulful covers all night. And when they took a break, r&b from the 90s was the perfect backdrop. The staff was super attentive and I believe the chef came out personally to serve the meals. There were some fancy happenings with things being lit on fire, and dry ice on tables..it is a whole vibe! You have to just go experience it! And if you’re celebrating your birthday, they will make you feel like royalty! This is a true gem! So happy to know of it now and will definitely be back!

It was My husband & I 13th Anniversary it was definitely a whole vibe! Food was amazing off top it’s a 25% gratuity charge and 5% live band fee!
