Chez Max Palace Street, situated in the heart of Dublin City Centre next to Dublin Castle, invites you to experience its charming French ambience, bistrot, and café. Guests can relax on the front terrace, enjoy the Parisian vintage indoor area, or unwind in the heated back patio.

For larger groups (seven or more), bookings cannot be made through this platform. Please email us at chezmaxpalace@gmail.com, and we will provide a form to collect the necessary details for your group.

Really really enjoyed our meal here for a family birthday. Staff were very accommodating of our request for a candle-lit dessert, remembering my dad's name as they sang happy birthday to him. Food was beautiful in presentation and in flavour. I had salmon and avocado on a demi baguete and I could tell the ingredients were very fresh and of good qaulity. The service was so prompt yet we didn't feel rushed. We sat out in the terrace and I was initially concerned that it would be cold, but it was warm, ambient and relaxing. Will definitely be back as a family. Thank you so much to the lovely staff that helped make this birthday so special.

We had three main courses Boeuf Bourginon and Mussels, plus desserts and wine. Everything was delicious and service was very good. Thank you

We booked for a party of 3 @ 3:30pm sitting. Starters: Salad - Fine nothing special. Soup is very good. Mains: Salmon: Nice but minimal for the price charged. Steak is very nice, however very expensive, for what is a lunchtime menu. Overall, we did order an extra portion of fries to accompany the salmon dishes, which we didn't receive however was listed on the bill. When ordering a bottle of wine, we were asked if we'd like two bottles, strange for a party of 3 at a lunchtime sitting. After 1 hour, we were rushed to make an order for desserts, which we declined, and were immediately rushed to pay the bill. Not the service one would expect when paying expensive prices for the dishes served. Unfortunately, it's was not a good experience, and we won't return until there is an improvement in the service and the value for money.

The steak price is unfortunately in line with the current market trends across Dublin, but we understand your concern. Apologies for the missing fries – I believe we took it off the bill, but if not, we’d be more than happy to arrange a refund for you. As for the service, we do try to accommodate everyone, especially on busy days like Saturdays when we have full bookings. Our 1hr 30min seating time is noted on all our platforms, but we completely understand if it felt rushed. We truly value your feedback and will make sure to review this with the team. A nice lunch but not to their usual standard maybe because it's Christmas. Staff were lovely as always, the food and portions not as good as it used to be. Menu changed and favourite salad no longer there. Good festive feeling, but rushed out.

As a french, I found at Chez Max a piece of home. Very Parisian style and the many french waiters add to the ambience. The food is typical from home and not just exaggerated clichés. On top of that, the service is exceptionally fast and well done. Overall, lovely experience !
