When the meal starts with the waiter telling you you're allowed ONE glass of water ~unless we want to pay for a bottle of water ~ it sets the tone for the meal. This was our 3rd trip to Chianti over 3 years. It was a bit of a disappointment. The pizza I ordered (anchovy and olive ~yum!) was delicious. The parmesean cheese/olive oil/balsamic was a nice addition to a start with the basket of bread. But they removed the basket of bread from the table before we finished with it. Those that ordered pasta were surprised that the noodles were cut so as not to be able to spin them into a "bite." The soup was flavorful but not hot in temperature. My husband ordered the chicken / mashed potato dish. It was average. He got one small, bone-in chicken thigh. That says it all. The atmosphere is nice. I'm always happy when the noise level is reasonable. We were just so surprised by the change compared to the amazing experience we had there 2 years ago. Probably won't go back.

La ambientación de el restaurante es muy agradable, la comida es deliciosa y la atención es muy esmerada. Súper recomendable, nos encantó. Regresaremos pronto ¡¡¡

Una verdadera estafa. Una vez que asignaron la mesa reservada y ya instalados nos informaron que nos iban a robar 360 pesos por persona de Cover !!! Incluso el mesero comentó que no sabia porque estaban cobrando cover. Deberían anunciar eso en la reservación para tener oportunidad de buscar otras opciones. Es un verdadero abuso !!!!! Por supuesto nones un lugar a recomendar y dudoso si confiar en la transparencia del sitio opentable.

I've experienced many Italian restaurants and the quality of the food here is top notch. It was reasonable that they charged $150 just for the table since it was NYE, and the food was great. The seafood was fresh, the sauce was great, and the homemade pasta and risotto was very good.

Delicious food, authentic Italian cuisine Our waiter Alex was excellent, very courteous and welcoming Enjoyed the live violin playing by the lady at the restaurant, she is very talented

We discovered Chianti several years ago when visiting and we went twice!! So upon our return , we promptly made 2 reservations. The service and elegance make you feel truly special and the food and little extras are amazing!! Our waiter Esteban was perfect as was the beautiful sommelier and hostess Estalania! The chef, Freddy is fabulous!! We are going again before we go home to Atlanta!

Chianti was a big disappointment, good was sub par, service tried but didn’t deliver and especially the wine selection was not as expected - after having opted for a Sauvignon Blanc by the glass we were advised to choose the Chenin Blanc by the bottle and it was awful - then we reverted back to the SB and it wasn’t great either… all in, wouldn’t return to Chianti in Cancun…

Chianti is one of our favorite places to dine in Cancun. Our server may have been new because we didn’t have the service we are used to. Not sure he knew much English. The food was excellent as always. The lasagna is a favorite of my husband. We will be going back soon!

Just as we remembered. We had a wonderful dinner with a delicious bottle of Chianti wine. The only miss was the dinner was for our anniversary and I put it in on our reservation. Sadly they did not acknowledge our special day. We wouldn’t let this stop us from dining at Chianti again.
