Located on Main Street in the heart of Smithtown, Chop Shop is one of the newest restaurants to arrive on the North Shore. The restaurant’s interior is accented with brick, hardwood flooring, large retro lamp fixtures, and a unique hand painted mural. Chop Shop is stylishly furnished with a professionally run bar.

Chop Shop is the perfect place for casual dining and special occasions, as well as corporate gatherings. Begin your dining experience with a drink selection from our extensive wine list, which offers a variety of great selections, or choose from our exclusive martini menu. Chop Shop’s menu specializes in a variety of sizzling steaks, fresh local seafood, exceptional pasta dishes, seasonal specials and delectable house made desserts.

Open for dinner, reservations are accepted for all size parties. Chop Shop also offers a function room, accommodating private gatherings for 6-20 people, available Monday through Sunday.

We were 6 people dining. The service was good, excellent wait staff. The food was mediocre at best. Chicken parm was luke warm and dried out. Salmon was over cooked as well as the shrimp in the seafood over linguine.

First off, I didn't like where we were seated, small talble 2 ft from the bar. It was very loud and could hardly hold a conversation with my husband. The fig martini was good but not very strong. We got the shrimp wontons, which tasted like something from Applebee's. Stuffed shrimp was dry. Then my husband steak was undercooked. By the time we got it back for him to eat, I was finished and was ready to go. Bill was $180 for one round of drinks and food. Will not be going back.

Overall it was good besides the fact it took over 25 minutes to get a second drink and our steak was cooked wrong ( they did bring it out pretty fast after we said something) you would think they would give us money off the bill but nothing. Definitely understaffed

Chop Shop was surprisingly incredible. My husband had the Filet Mignon, and sides, and it was cooked to perfection! I had the stuffed artichokes, and grilled asparagus, and enjoyed it very much. The atmosphere was perfect for a date night. The staff could not be nicer. Our table was comfortable for two. This was our first time there, because the name gave me the wrong impression of the establishment. We will definitely be back!

Excellent service and food keeps us coming back. Had avocado salad (delicious and not too dressed which was perfect) and t bone steak excellent cooked perfect to temp and creamed spinach (the best I’ve had). Service was excellent as usual and never wanted for anything (water, bread, drinks). Great martinis. Will be back for sure. It was New Year’s Eve and every server was on point and great friendly attitude despite the being super busy and working on New Year’s Eve. Great all around and so glad we chose chop shop to spend our evening.
