My experience at Chophouse 119 was behind what I expected. The service resumed from Jake and Diego was unmatched as well as they recommended some GREAT options for us to try and they did not disappoint. I celebrated my anniversary and it was a memory that I truly won’t forget. No complaints. Thank you Chophouse!

Beautiful place. Unfortunately, they were out of many things. I felt that some of their pricing was a bit high. Service was great, but I was not overly impressed.

Our New Year's Eve dinner was a disaster. Prior to NYE I was contacted twice by the restaurant to confirm our reservation and both times we did confirm. We arrived on time at 9p for our reservation and were not seated until 10:10p. There were several other parties in the same boat. There was only one bartender and he was not offering service to anyone not seated in the bar area. When we were finally seated it took 20 mins to get water and another 20 mins to get the first round of drinks (10:30p water, 10:50p drinks). It wasn't just missing the small stuff - (for a long time we didn't have water glasses, knives, plates) but also some of the big things (poorly cooked shrimp, cold sides, etc). By midnight we were offered free champagne, which was nice - I am not sure what was poured but it was not champagne which capped off the worst dining experience I've had out in Hilton Head. When we asked for the check and after we confirmed with the waitress that this would not impact her tip - we asked what on earth was going on. She said that over half of the staff were just friends of the servers because they didn't have enough help. One bartender for an entire restaurant. The reason we were seated so late was because everything had become so backed up meals were taking 3 hours. The manager, whom I asked to speak with, never showed because he was working a section. She was embarrassed for the actual staff who tried to be helpful - but because of absent management seemed to be left to their own devices to solve problems that were frankly not solvable. This level of unprofessionalism isn't okay in any restaurant - and given the fact that we spent $840 for a party of 5 it was just ludicrous. We live in Hilton Head and I know there are staffing challenges - but for your own reputation's sake you should only accept bookings for service you know you can knock out of the park instead of just "hoping for the best" and still charging premium pricing. That is not okay.

I booked a reservation for 6 people for New Years Eve at 8:15 inside. I know it’s a busy day for reservations, but we did not get sat until 9:30 and had to be outside. I did not prepare to be outside so i wasn’t dressed warm enough. We expected to be inside because that is the vibe we wanted. We had an event after that we all bought tickets for and didn’t get to go until 11:30pm. The manager did give us 2 bottles of Veuve and took care of the first round of drinks which i thought was very nice, and definitely necessary. I don’t know where it went wrong that they were so backed up and the timing was off on reservations. We are locals too but i don’t think we will go back here.

The food was good but expensive! Plenty of staff but a little chaotic given it was New Years Eve.

First of all..shout out to Diego!! Amazing waiter! Overall our experience would have definitely been 5 stars but the wait time was too long and that was with a reservation. Granted it was New Year's Eve, but a 1 hour wait when we were told 15-20min is truly not ok. I think they need to overhaul their reservation system. However, Diego, our waiter made up for the long wait and the food & drink quality and options offered were superb!! We will not hesitate to return and hope the wait will be better next time.

New Year's Eve dinner @ the Chop House was great. Food, drinks and service, outstanding. Four of us dined - all were well satisfied. Oysters, halibut special, carpaccio, pork chop and rack of lamb all done to perfection. Lou L

After reading reviews I was worried about how well our evening would go but oh my goodness it was FANTASTIC and the food and service was AMAZING! I’m going back next month! Love it. I’m a foodie and this is worth it.

My only issue with this restaurant is I didn’t find it sooner. Excellent service and ambiance. The food was amazing. I had beef Wellington that was perfectly prepared. Quality of ingredients was noticeably top tier. Great drinks and elegant bar. We will be back.
