This is a very expensive spot that relies on its ambience. Food was very good, but even that didn't return sufficient value for the prices.

Food is way overpriced for the portions provided, but most of it is very tasty (definitely try their signature ceviche and yellowtale Nikkei sashimi), cocktails are properly made, service is exceptional and the ambiance is intimate, yet slightly buzzing with background noise of other people socializing. I wouldn’t go there for dinner, but rather to have a little pre-drink before going to a show or clubbing.

Simply said, the meal was very memorable. Perfectly prepared and something you could never prepare at home on your own. It's expensive but from time to time it is worth spending a lot to get an exquisite meal. Service was attentive and genuine. We were offered 3 sake tasters before we made our selection. We were given a free vegetable side, as an error was made in the kitchen on another diner's order. Incredibly generous.

Overall, we loved the vibe of the place. Our wait team was excellent and beyond. However, the food delivery team that brought the food to our table weren't as good.

Our first visit to Chotto Matte was an interesting experience. The food choices were unique, and the flavors were undeniably excellent, showcasing a creative fusion of tastes. However, the dining style leaned heavily toward a tapas approach, with small portions that left us wanting more. Given the extremely high price point, the overall experience felt underwhelming. The atmosphere lacked the sophistication you'd expect, and at times, it felt more like a high-end diner rather than a premium restaurant. While the food impressed, the value for money and overall vibe left us unsure if we’d return.
