Went with the prefix menus for myself and my husband. Flavor was there but the chicken was cold and salmon overcooked.

A delicious meal and quality preparation of classics (escargot, coq au vin) with innovative offerings as well. The trout was delicious! Our server was lovely and professional as was all the staff. The ambiance is both energizing and intimate, especially the upstairs tables. A wonderful addition to the downtown culinary landscape.

Fancy French restaurant we visited during restaurant week! Have to say, food was disappointing. The soup and salad were not all that special. The salmon had crispy skin which was nice but was easily overpowered by the bowl of garnish it was served on. The chicken had skin that was soggy. They ran out of the chocolate mousse I was looking forward to and instead served the worst crème brûlée. It was overdone and too thin in the bowl, leaving too light and liquid a consistency. Maybe I came on a bad night but I would not recommend given the other options in town.

Food and service was very good. Tables were a bit crammed together they were putting a lot of people in a pretty small area upstairs.

We have a very nice celebration dinner. The food and service were good. It is a spendy dinner but it was a worthwhile evening.

My partner and I visited Choutte for dinner prior to heading to the Ohio Theater to see Peter Pan. Seated at a 2 top to the right of the stairs. Our server Thomas was top notch, attentive and explained any questions we had about the menu. A lot of activity coming from the kitchen, but I like watching the food come out. We started with the foie gras as well as the chicken liver mousse. Both solid dishes, but the foie gras was our favorite of the two. We did the Bouillabaisse for two and I’m so glad we did. It was fantastic. Fairly substantial portions of seafood and the stock was so hard for me to not continue mopping up with bread till it was gone. We finished up by splitting the chocolate mousse (wish I had ordered my own) and having a cappuccino. We really enjoyed our visit and plan to return, especially for the bouillabaisse.

We have been several times now and the service is always great and the food is consistent, it is a bit loud. My one complaint this time is that we were seated upstairs and it was ridiculously hot, if you don’t want to sweat through dinner then I would suggest booking a table downstairs.

Exceptional staff! The service….impeccable! The steak was not cooked properly, but the server and management resolved the situation. I am grateful. I’m always happy with my Chouette experience….specifically, my spirit-less cocktails! Yummm!!! Thank you
