We had an amazing dinning experience for our wedding anniversary. The food, the staff, the atmosphere, the comfort and even the music playlist were perfectly synced to make for an incredibly fab dinner. Every dish we ordered lived up to and surpassed expectations - even the cooked to order bread rolls were perfect to mop up the garlic butter from our prawn dish.

Consistently high quality food and outstanding, personable, unobtrusive and on-the-ball service. Highly professional outfit. Subtle menu, deftly done.

We had a nice time but was a bit disappointed with the food. Dont get me wrong the dishes were nice but I do feel that most of the hot seafood dishes we had were slightly over cooked which made the crayfish and the calamari for example a bit chewy. I also like to taste the seafood and there was way too much additional salt added to all the dishes we had. The service was quite ok but no real effort to build any rapport and felt like we were in the way. I was asked if it was a special occasion when we arrived and I said yes it’s my birthday, the response I got was” so do you expect the chefs to come out and sing you happy birthday”. He was trying to be funny I suppose but it didn’t come across well. I’m glad I went but probably wouldn’t go back.

Great vibes. Best anchovies toast around town. Cheeseburger was good, personally prefer brioche type buns over sesame buns. Customized old fashion really hit the spot, it was perfect. Overall good food but most importantly, the best service! Everyone was excellent, want to highlight Ollie, Douglas, older gentlemen with short hair and glasses, young female with bob and glasses. They were such a joy and I’m grateful to be served by them!

My third time here and more than bit disappointed this time. The hype doesn’t match the experience. The anchovy toast overrated and nothing special ( despite the eye watering price for such a small morsel), the steak tartare was good with a nice subtle Dijon base but otherwise pretty standard fare… no egg or interesting flavours.The ricotta starter very average. The stand out by far was the “ famous” cheeseburger only able to be ordered if u “in the know”. Truly exceptional melt in your mouth orgasmic experience!!. But yes I get it- u don’t want become known as a burger joint….Kingfish wing nice but overly rich and oily not lightly fried …wouid have been nice to cut through or balance the rich flavour with a more piquant dipping sauce…The duck for mains was good but not exceptional with very bland but pleasant flavour coming through… the Bistecca though was the big disappointment. Cooked to perfection but flavourless and rather than caramelised edge it was a burnt edge with burnt flavour.. Yes it was marbled and tender enough but flavourless . Better Bistecca at myriad of other joints…The crème brûlée was absolutely stunning . So for the hype - if I ever returned it would be for the burger and creamer brulee ! But alas, there is better fare to be had elsewhere for the price in my opinion….The maître de ( assume he was maître de in his smart attire....) was sullen bordering on irritated and unfriendly. Not welcoming at all. Good Service by the two wait staff we had made up for his arrogant unfriendliness though…

It was a beautiful night and meals were delicious 🤤. A little bread roll to soak up the clam pasta juice would be a great addition.
