Located in a former auto shop in the vibrant Montrose neighborhood near The Menil Collection and Museum District, Clark’s Houston is the third and largest location of our popular neighborhood oyster bar and seafood restaurant. Opened in Fall 2023, Clark’s features freshly shucked oysters, crudo, lobster roll, daily fish specials, caviar and blini, bowls of chowder and cioppino as well as a much-loved burger and shoestring fries.

The restaurant specializes in martinis and signature cocktails as well as an extensive Champagne and wine list. The design is light, bright, and airy with nautically-themed touches including a centerpiece fish tank, teak wood furniture, bright white walls, and blue and turquoise tones.

In addition to a marble-topped oyster bar and dining room, there’s a large, covered patio for prime people watching and oyster slurping. Clark’s Houston also offers a semi-private dining room for special occasions and events.

Awesome food and drinks. Enjoyed sitting on the patio. Service was great and their GM, Lee is the best. Will return!

So great to find a place in Houston that serves Maine oysters! They were fresh and delicious and we loved the shaved horseradish! Our server Gabby was also great! We will be back!

First visit here to Clarks. The valet service was excellent, the waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommended a lovely white wine. The clam chowder was very good and the red fish was also good. The only problem that I had was the noise level and that couldn’t be helped. But it is too noisy to hold a business meeting here.

We had an excellent experience! Joshua B was our server & he was exceptional - he had great recommendations, so if you have him as your server, let him guide you! We had oysters to start, the lobster roll & Cioppino for our entrees, & the basque cake for dessert. We can’t wait to return.

Oysters & shrimp cocktail were incredible. Burger is the perfect size and fries are crispy shoestring and perfect accompaniment for the seafood and burger. The shrimp toast and scallops left much to be desired however. The taste was good but the texture of the scallops were mealy and the shrimp toast took multiple cuts and bites before you reached any shrimp. The ambiance is trendy and the service is excellent. I think our mistake may have been ordering less local seafood choices. We will definitely come back for the oysters and other small plates.

The valet did not show up until I self parked and then wanted to get paid for something they did not do. The expensive burger was the size of a slider. The grouper was overcooked. Our waitress was great. Also, very loud in the patio but that isn’t their fault. Not worth the exorbitant prices.
