Claudio Pirollo grew up in Belgium where he soon discovered his passion for cooking as he wandered around his father’s fine Italian épicerie (grocery store) and watched his mother prepare dinner every day. The dual influence of Italy and Belgium triggered Chef Pirollo’s aspirations to develop his knowledge and experience with different flavors.
A Trattoria is not a pizzeria, it is an Italian-style eating establishment that is generally much less formal than a ristorante but more formal than an osteria. It is similar to what the French call Bistrot.
Trattorias are traditionally family owned, casual, rustic neighborhood restaurants found throughout all of Italy that offer fresh, regional, local and family specialties on the menu.

The only reason for the high noise level was due to a woman next to us who was incredibly loud and she impacted our dining experience. Other than this we love Claudio’s Table! It is one of our favorite restaurants and we will be back!!

Gio was very kind. I also met Claudio who was very welcoming. The overall experience was perfect for Valentine’s. I got the short rib with the potatoes and my date got the pasta alla vodka. We enjoyed our food. Service was quick as well

We have a lovely time and delicious meal on Valentine’s Day. Claudio’s Table has become our new favorite — the food, drinks and service are superb, and the ambiance is really pleasing. It feels like a coveted, special neighborhood place (which it is) which you don’t get in many other areas of DC.

Our meal from appetizers to entrees to desserts was exquisite. I’ve wanted to go to Claudio’s Table for a long time and we weren’t disappointed. It’s a real gem!

Great food and service. Sat at bar- had fried artichokes salad, eggplant parmigiana and short ribs. Nice wine.

Claudio's Table is an Italian restaurant in the Palisades neighborhood of Washington, DC at 5441 MacArthur Blvd. It is owned by the fantastic Chef Claudio Pirollo, who also owns the French-Belgian bistro Et Voila. Claudio's Table serves great Italian cuisine, including pasta, meat, fish and pizza. I have eaten almost everything on the menu and love it all. The restaurant also has a great wine list and cocktails. Claudio's is known for its lively and cozy atmosphere. It is a very popular spot for lunch and dinner. We like sitting at the bar where you get to talk with patrons from the neighborhood and get fantastic service. Additionally at the bar, you can catch a glimpse of Chefs Claudio and Stephane preparing exquisite dishes. The staff provides excellent service with charm. The food is delicious! Claudio's is a neighborhood gem! Patrick
