Loved it! Great service and atmosphere. I wish they had a few more options that were not “fancy”. I also wish they didn’t change for the bread. $14 for something that you should just get with a meal.

Exceptional experience. Elegantly appointed restaurant. Interesting assortment of menu items. Steak and potato terrine was a hit for a carnivore. We look forward to our next visit. “Nicest” dining in Hendersonville.

My husband and I had a great experience. Love everything about this restaurant! Ambiance, background music, total vibe was nice. Excellent drink and wine list. Pork chop and duck leg were prepared perfectly. Will definitely return to this restaurant.

This was our second time dining at Claywood since they updated their direction. We and our guests were very pleased. Mushroom hand pie was fresh but the filling lacked real mushroom emphasis. Grilled squash was surprisingly served cold. The FOD was redfish and was excellent. The duck leg was nicely prepared, served with farro, chard, and carrot (the grain had an intermittent vinegar emphasis). We finished with cranberry cheesecake which was fluffy, light, and delicious. Highly recommended: Nebbiolo was a nice selection with a generous pour. Cocktails were also well prepared. Claywood is a nice farm-to-table addition to our community.

The steak was excellent, but the side of potatoes was too small. The main pasta dish was so small my husband had to eat when we got home. We ordered a pavlova to share amongst 3 people. So small one person should have ordered. Egg whites are not expensive.

We had a very enjoyable evening and a delicious meal at Claywood. The ambience of this restaurant is unmatched in Hendersonville. And the farm-to-table offerings were all incredible. We plan to go back...and back...and back!!

Claywood is a great addition to Hendersonville. Overall the food was really good with good flavor profiles. We had one issue with one of our appetizers, but it was handled with grace and efficiency. The seating is a little wonky, more club-like than a restaurant. They have a great appetizer list, so if you are looking for a swanky gathering space for drinks and lite food, I would highly recommend Claywood. If you are looking for a sit down meal, ask for the high tops near the kitchen that can accommodate up to a party of 4. Claywood is on the expensive side, but we will definitely go back!

Our experience at Claywood was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we walked in, we were treated so warmly by the staff—it set the tone for a great evening. Our waiter, Coen (I think that’s how you spell it), was incredible. He was super attentive, kind, and really knew the menu inside and out. His recommendations were spot on, and he made the whole experience feel effortless and enjoyable. We couldn’t have asked for better service. The food and atmosphere were amazing, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!!!
