Cooks & Soldiers brings the cuisine and cultural experience of Spain’s Basque region to the flourishing West Midtown area. The menu is divided into “pintxos tradicionales,” or tapas-like snacks served atop toasted bread; “pinxtos especiales,” or Basque-inspired small plates; “asador” including a variety of wood-grilled fish, meats and vegetables; and a selection of unique and modern desserts. Behind the bar, Cooks & Soldiers offers guests an extensive collection of Basque and Spanish wines, txakoli and ciders, in addition to craft beer and signature cocktails. The cocktail list places a heavy emphasis on gin, offering a seasonal selection of house-infused tonics blended into gin tonics and other popular libations.

We love the food but service was way off tonight- I wish our server would have guided us through the menu we ordered way to much food. Our drinks took forever and our dishes came out in a very random order. And then there were still two dishes we didn't get that we're on the check (which she removed) Out server was lovely and kind- maybe there was a staffing issue but feels like something should have been comped or an explanation for what was happening.

First time here and the food was delicious, yet the service made it hard to swallow. The server was quite obnoxious and rude. One example is I asked if we could get everything served at the same time because the appetizers were going to be our sides, he said they come out as they are prepared in a snappy tone as he walked away. This was the tone the entire night. The server nor anyone came over and asked was everything okay, and the food came out one at a time and not together. Even though the food was delicious I will not be going back. Too many great restaurants in Atlanta where I can get great food and service.

Not impressed with the food - had feuillete- was too sweet and we could tell that it had jamon in it , had mountain bread - the bead was perfectly baked and with a crunchy top with zatar, grilled oyster - nothing to talk about, duck- it was perfect , stuffed blue crab -has too much of spice and was overpowering and there was no taste of the crab itself

We have been to Cooks & Soldiers many times. We love the atmosphere and always have great service. The food is top tier and has great presentation. We will return many more times.

Cooks and Soldiers has been an annual NYE dinner spot for my wife and I for the last 4 years. We keep coming back because of the exceptional food, drinks, and service. Unfortunately, they fell short this time. Maybe it was just an off night all around, but we left disappointed and surprised. Ambiance was fine. It’s a bit loud and lively, but nothing unexpected or offensive. The service was a bit disjointed, which I can also accept given that it’s a holiday night. However, we were most disappointed by the food quality. We ordered the whole Branzino (as we have in prior years), along with several sides. Everything tonight seemed over-sauced and over-seasoned. Definitely missed the mark this time around, and we didn’t even eat most of the food on the table. I would say everything was “okay” tonight, but okay isn’t the expectation when you spend $300 on a dinner for two. Positives… wine selection and cocktails were good as always. Overall, a disappointment and we may have to rethink our annual NYE plans in the future. Might have to give them a try on another night to see if this one was just an outlier.

The atmosphere and food are simply amazing. Very nice restaurant in West Midtown. Lots of other restaurants and bars nearby and the lovely Bellyard is right next door. We chose 7 Tapas/Appetizers. They were all exquisite. We loved the plating and we loved the amazing taste. The place is extremely loud. The music should be turned down so one can hear their guests speak. While our waiter was very friendly, he was very difficult to find to request drinks, etc. We will definitely be back.
