Cooks & Soldiers brings the cuisine and cultural experience of Spain’s Basque region to the flourishing West Midtown area. The menu is divided into “pintxos tradicionales,” or tapas-like snacks served atop toasted bread; “pinxtos especiales,” or Basque-inspired small plates; “asador” including a variety of wood-grilled fish, meats and vegetables; and a selection of unique and modern desserts. Behind the bar, Cooks & Soldiers offers guests an extensive collection of Basque and Spanish wines, txakoli and ciders, in addition to craft beer and signature cocktails. The cocktail list places a heavy emphasis on gin, offering a seasonal selection of house-infused tonics blended into gin tonics and other popular libations.

    Every bite is delicious. Bring friends who like to share and have a great time. The drink program is excellent! 10/10. Always a go-to spot

    We had, octopus gambas and some pork recommended by the server, also patatas bravas and mountain bread. Everything was delicious, the only thing I wasn’t impressed with was the patatas bravas, cause they weren’t bravas (spicy), they were rather sweet.

    We attended the Gin Tónica class with Nick and Joe who were utterly delightful. The way they shared their passion for the rich history of gin (and tonic), and food was entertaining, educational, and infectious. We appreciated how knowledgeable and attentive Nick and Joe were throughout the evening, taking time to interact with everyone. The value for the experience was extremely high and we cannot wait to enjoy their next offering. During the class we were able to try some upcoming drinks yet to land on the menu which were incredible. After the class we enjoyed the Grand Asador Experience which allowed us to enjoy some of our favorite dishes at C&S, but also were thrilled to enjoy many items for the first time. As always, not a single dish was anything less than stellar.

    brought my mom for her birthday and had such a great time! food and drinks were so bomb and Nic our server was super hospitable and made sure we had a good experience! will definitely return

    Would highly recommend staff is great view of the kitchen shows a well oiled machine they definitely are extremely professional .

    Definitely one of the best experiences I’ve had here. The staff provided great recommendations and were courteous and attentive. The food was outstanding. The octopus and the duck were two of our favorites.
