Dagli editor di OpenTable: Chef Michael Stoltzfus showcases local ingredients at his swanky Southern bistro, nominated for numerous James Beard Awards since opening in 2008. In a two-story residence in the Garden District that dates back to the 1880s, the elegant dining rooms are lined with brick and chandeliers. Gulf seafood stars at the raw bar, from local oysters to crabmeat and crackers, and fans love the fried chicken brunches and “no menu” five-course dinners.

    Service and atmosphere were nice, though the upstairs dining room was very loud. The food was just okay, at least what we ordered. Seemed to suffer from disproportioned construction. For example, the boudin and grits had too little grits and the boudin had way too much breading. The braised rabbit dish must have been 2 full rabbits worth of meat on top of 5 pieces of gnocchi. This dish would have been much better as a gnocchi dish with some braised rabbit. We were unable to finish this plate.

    Lovely corner location! It was a rainy night and super cozy. We had been here before last July and had a 5 star plus experience. This time was slightly different. We sat at the bar and service was amazing. Our drinks were pretty good. Crab was amazing. The short ribs were exquisite (again). Grouper was unimpressive.

    Delicious food and cocktails, and excellent service from Tyre at the bar. Definitely returning soon!

    The food and cocktails were unique and executed extremely well. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful in providing recommendations. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will be coming back again in the future!

    Loved the ambience and the food. The waiter offered great suggestions ( when we asked her) and we really liked the great-yet manageable menu choices. This chef knows what he(or she?) is doing!

    One of our favorite restaurants in New Orleans. Fantastic menu and cocktail program, and the sommelier is outstanding!

    Always outstanding food and drink. And while I typically prefer dining at a table, sitting at the bar adds a communal element.

    Mushroom and crab dish is outstanding. Fresh and local ingredients make dining at Coquette a lovely experience every time. Cocktails delicious and service excellent. Thank you!

    We had such a wonderful experience there! Of course, the food was incredible. You don't need me to tell you that. The cuisine has been written about pretty much everywhere. What you may not know is how well the staff take care of you from start to finish. We were greeted, and waited by a genuinely kind, joyful and learned staff. They made us feel at home to the extent that we had to drag ourselves away at the end of our meal.
