Acclaimed Sicilian Chef Accursio Lota serves up authentic cuisine in a cozy 60's-style Italian trattoria. Voted San Diego's Best Chef five years in a row, and Barilla’s World Pasta Champion, at Cori Trattoria Chef Lota serves up beautifully bold dishes like Agnolotti with Spring Peas and Beef Bone Marrow, and an unbelievably rich Vegan Parmigiana di Melanzane. The menu melds the flavors of Sicily and Italy with the best of fresh, locally-sourced Southern California ingredients, and is matched by a curated wine list and cocktail program that include indigenous, bio-dynamic varietals from all Italy.

The current Spring menu features dishes like Agnolotti with Spring Peas, fava bean, and beef bone marrow, and Cacio e Pepe with sustainably-sourced Petrovich caviar.

Our server was great. Very personable and helpful with menu ordering. We ordered a dish from each section of the menu to share as recommended and it was a great way to try lots of interesting dishes with plenty to eat. Wine was good but pour was chinchy. The staff all sort of work together to provide great service. Great overall vibe and food choices.

The absolute best and most unique experience you will have in San Diego. Undoubtedly the best Italian food, wine and service in the city. From the intricate details of the culinary masterpieces to the highest expression of Italian wine this restaurant stands alone as a very special gem in this city. To bring it all together, the restaurant staff is as personable and professional as it gets. Can’t recommend enough for any and all occasions!!

Overall good experience. My pasta was bit thick and chewy for Italian pasta but sauce was delicious. The space is rather small with lots of tables so when the restaurant filled up the noise level made it difficult to carry-on a conversation at the table. Service was very friendly and professional!

Very quaint and novel Italian restaurant. Really great service, perfect wine choices and fair prices. The food highlights were the Fried Smelts which were delicious and the bruschetta was different and tasty. The seafood carbonara eas good... wish it had more seafood. The lasagna was not as firm as I have had in Italy. The flavor was good but the texture needed to be more firm for me. Overall a good experience.

If you want an excellent Italian dinner with outstanding choices, this is the place. From the welcome afforded upon entering until you leave, you will feel like the most important diner. The chef takes what can often be bland (octopus and branzino) and turns them into tasty delights. If you have the opportunity, you should go here at least once - to start!!

Our experience was amazing and we had the sweetest anniversary. We were greeted with a signed card and gifted a glass of bubbles to toast to our anniversary. We also loved the food and just got back from Italy and felt it was very homemade and authentic.
