Bar seating and ledge-leaning is the rule of thumb—think Paris tabac or the zinc—the heat of local life, crowded with regulars at the counter waiting for their vin rouge. Here you’ll find our Cave à Manger, an eclectic curation of wines by the glass, paired with a menu of small plated savory delicacies created for this tasting smorgasbord. More than an amuse-bouche, less than a serving. Range, variety, exploration, and discovery are the point.

Counter Reformation is located inside Parker Palm Springs, a Leading Hotels of the World property. Valet parking is complimentary when you dine.

Reservations are recommended, but if you don’t see availability, just walk in for the next seat at the counter.

We’re excited to invite you to a very special evening at Counter Reformation on Thursday, May 1st—a one-night-only Portuguese Wine Dinner designed to celebrate the rich flavors and vibrant culture of Portugal. This intimate event will feature a fixed menu curated by our Executive Chef, Pedro Baroso, inspired by the bold, rustic, and soulful dishes of his Portuguese heritage. Each course will be paired with thoughtfully selected Portuguese wines chosen by our Sommelier, Bruce Barrett, who will be pouring some of his favorite expressions from the region. Throughout the evening, guests will have the opportunity to interact with both Chef Pedro and Bruce as they share the stories, origins, and inspiration behind each dish and wine pairing—making this not just a dinner, but an immersive experience. We’ll be offering two seatings of 22 guests each to preserve the intimacy and personal connection that defines Counter Reformation: First Seating: 5:00 PM Second Seating: 7:00 PM The experience is priced at $125++ per person and includes multiple courses and wine pairings. Please note: No à la carte menu will be offered that evening. Complimentary valet parking will be provided for all guests attending the dinner. Whether you're a lover of Portuguese cuisine, a wine enthusiast, or simply looking for a unique culinary night out, we’d love to welcome you to this flavorful and memorable evening. We had two wonderful small plates. The calamari was unique in its presentation and more like a sandwich than the usual calamari. The other dish was the caviar tetaki on bruchetta. It was excellent! Nice ambience and great service.

We loved our whole experience, the delicious small plates and wine pairings. We opted for a small glass of wine with each course so we could try a variety of wines, all excellent. Our waitress Jacylin was charismatic and always ready to advise and serve. Definitely a fun, unique experience in the beautiful Parker Hotel.

Another wonderful experience here. Took a couple who were visiting and hadn’t been before. We all loved the unique ambiance, incredible service from Jocelyn, the wine and food. Do wish they might offer some healthier food options but that is a minor quibble.

The atmosphere and music was fantastic. Food was unusual and tasted okay, I wouldn't go back for what we ordered. Bartender, Jocelyn, was amazing and did a fantastic job.

Service and ambiance was nice as well as the wine. The beef carpaccio was delicious and caviar donuts good a well. Prawns were decent. Burger was drenched in sauce and bun was cold. Overall fun for a small bite and glass of wine and dinning elsewhere for dinner entrees if wanting more than a small plate.
