Covey Kitchen and Cocktails offers a stellar menu crafted by Chef Andy Niedenthal with a focus on American cuisine with global influences. In 2022, the restaurant earned a coveted spot on Yelp's Top 100 Restaurants in the USA. Their hand-crafted cocktails earn rave reviews and the bar features an impressive wine list and local beers.                                       Our meal was perfectly prepared. Our server was friendly and helpful in selecting out meals. The restaurant is noisier than we like, but that’s just us. Finally, the live jazz band created the only negative vibe for us. Again, this is just a personal taste issue. The food and service are impeccable.

                                      It's a small menu but with interesting appetizers. Our food was quite good, except for the creme brulee-which was too runny. The salmon was cooked perfectly.Service was hit and miss. We had trouble finding our server to order pre-dinner drinks and then dessert. Our guest had to find another server to get a glass of wine. The room is very plain-no tablecloths. For this kind of price, I expected a nicer environment. You walk through the bar, which looks like a bus station cafeteria. The view from the dining area out to the lake is nice when it is daylight. I imagine in warmer weather the terrace would be very nice. But the noise from the tv and the loud patrons who thought they were in that bus station, ruined our evening. This restaurant is highly rated. I would not return until spring, to sit outside. Don't expect a fine dining experience indoors. Too bad.

                                      Virtually no one around Gainesville knows where Eleo Hotel or Covey Kitchen is located nor have they even heard of them. That is sad because the service in the restaurant is very good and the food is delicious. The only problem for me is that the ambience is not fine restaurant but Florida hotel restaurant. It was my guest’s birthday which was posted on my reservation but the server was not made aware. Immediately upon my telling her she comped one of the desserts. I certainly hope to return to Covey Kitchen!

                                      We went on New Year’s Eve and everything was just amazing. The service was fantastic. The cocktails are delicious and creative. The food was excellent. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

                                      The food is as good or better than any fine dining restaurant. I had the salmon and my husband had the roasted chicken. The chicken was moister than have ever had anywhere. The salmon was flavorful and will cook it at a temperature you prefer. Definitely will return.
