   Our waitress was superb - food excellent- loved buttermilk pie! Couldnt have been lovlier setting outside on patio with gorgeous view.

   We had a reservation for five people (three adults and two young children) at 4:00 PM Sunday. My mother in law had just arrived in town and we were excited to take her to a nice meal with mountain views. Due to our timing, there was little to no other people at the restaurant. The host tried to sit us in bar area with TVs near the kitchen. We requested to sit in the light filled room without mountain views and she reluctantly agreed because she would have to push together tables. Once we got seated we ordered the grouper bites as they are one of our favorites. One was over cooked but we overlooked it as we were hungry. When our main entries came out the brick roasted chicken did not arrive. After some time had past, our serve came to the table and said there were some kind of mix up with the kitchen and then mumbled an apology as she left the table. She stated it would be out in five minutes so my husband waited for a while before he began eating his steak au poivre. After several minutes past, my husband cut in to his steak and it was overcooked. He sent the steak back to be remade since he wanted in med rare and it arrived mid well and we were still waiting on the chicken dish. A manager briefly came to the table and offered soup or salad which was initially declined. Then the server came and offered the same so we got two Caesar salads. When we got our check it was incorrect and needed to be adjusted. It included a side that we did not order. On a slow Sunday afternoon, the server forgot to ring in an entrée and rang in a side we never ordered or received and the kitchen overcooked the steak. The only positive and professional person we encounter was the food runner who we've seen multiple times. He consistently provides service that would be expected at a resort restaurant. Overall very over priced for the quality of the food and service.

   The angus steak was tough and poorly prepared. The chef had no idea what medium rare or Pittsburgh is. Very disappointing.

   We loved our breakfast. We had biscuits and gravy, grits and bacon which got us primed for our 6 mile hike!! Service is amazing-very friendly with great ideas about things to do

   Confusing breakfast experience. I asked for a latte and was referred to the coffee shop upstairs. So I look at that menu and find the same avocado toast for a lesser cost. I ended up just going to get the latte I wanted and the same food for less.

   We booked a table to celebrate our daughter's birthday. The food was delicious, especially the grouper bites and smoky mac & cheese appetizers. Rave reviews also for the Scottish salmon. Our server was kind and eager to please. We would have preferred to be seated near windows for the view - not sure why they put us so far back in the dark when there was hardly anyone else there at the time of our seating.

   I visited Croft twice yesterday for lunch and dinner. For lunch, Jess took great care of us and was really friendly. Even though it was only lunch, she still managed to help us make our meal feel like a date by surprising us for our anniversary. I had the BLFGT, recommended by Jess, which was amazing, and my girlfriend enjoyed the kale Caesar salad. Both were great! Our dinner was amazing as well. Trey took care of us and he had a great sense of humor that kept us laughing throughout the meal. For dinner we split the mac and cheese to start. For mains I had the bucatini pasta and my girlfriend had the beef and beans. Our favorite was definitely the bucatini!

   I had a lovely date night here to celebrate my anniversary. Victoria took such great care of us. She gave us wonderful recommendations and helped make our night even more special. We tried several things from the menu. Our favorites were the bucatini (Victoria’s recommendation) as well as the fried apple pie (also Victoria’s recommendation). Lastly, the ambiance was perfect. I recommend going around sunset for incredible views!
