   Well I thought the Crown and Mitre made my sister's birthday lunch very special. Quite unexpectedly they gave her a lovely card, hand signed, and they put a candle on her dessert. Lovely gesture. It's a peaceful setting, with great views of the river.

   A very welcoming venue with a good atmosphere. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had the Express Menu, which we felt was good value for money. Unfortunately, even though we dined at an early time of 5.30pm, there were only two of the three starters and desserts available and service was extremely slow. We were pleased we had booked an early slot as it took an hour and a half for a two course meal and the dessert we chose was a possett which simply had to be taken out of the fridge and placed on a plate. Having said that, we enjoyed our experience, the food was good and hot and we were seated upstairs with lovely views across the river. Recommended but allow time.

   The Crown and Mitre has been put back on the map! Lovely food, welcoming staff and a warm ambience of a traditional pub with stunning river views. Efficient and helpful attentive staff. Very accommodating and welcoming. Highly recommended From Sarah @ Scone Already

   Been here before and thoroughly enjoyed it, couldn’t fault the food or the service. Unfortunately on this visit it was underwhelming and disappointing. It was clear to see that there were not enough staff working the restaurant. Multiple options were sold out on the menu and there was quite a wait for food. My partner ordered a drink, and had to chase it up 3 times over 45 minutes. It never turned up and when we pointed out that we still hadn’t got our drink, they said they would just remove it instead of bringing it to us. I don’t think we will be visiting again and it’s such a shame because it’s a beautiful pub/restaraunt.

   We visited today for a family gathering. A last-minute thing, we managed to get a table of 5. The staff were great, attentive, and engaging. We had various types of meals ranging from roasts to seafood dishes. This is certainly a good place to visit with river views. I'll be back soon.

   The Crown and Mitre is a gorgeous diamond of a pub hidden away in a quiet corner of Lynn. The staff are all happy and friendly and very welcoming. It retains a real old world feel and has seating over looking the river. I wouldn’t be surprised to see an old sailor sitting in the corner. The food is outstanding. We had the tempura prawns which were so delicious we are glad we didn’t get a plate to share as we would have been fighting over the last one. My mum had the roast lamb which she said was melt in the mouth and the Yorkshire pudding was so light it could have blown away. She was sorry she couldn’t finish it. I had the chicken schnitzel which, even though a relatively simple dish was cooked to perfection, and so tasty it was mouth watering. I had the lemon posset for dessert and it was so crisp and refreshing it was the perfect finish to a wonderful meal. The total cost including a large glass of wine and a lemonade was £89 but it was definitely worth every penny and will definitely be going again.

    Lovely Roast dinner, the whole plate of food was great. Superb service in all ways and a perfect pint of Guinness. Will be back again.
