Poised high above the Dallas skyline atop Reunion Tower, Crown Block offers a culinary experience to surpass that of the typical steakhouse, complemented by an approachable, stylish environment in celebration of all things grilled, seared and roasted. A fine balance between steak, seafood and plant-based cuisine, featuring ingredients from regional farms, ranches and the Gulf of Mexico.                                                                                                           There were two of us dining, I was treating my boyfriend for an early birthday which is 2 weeks away. The hostess removed the birthday note and there was no birthday sparkler or dessert, as she mentioned his birthday was not on the exact day.. well other tables were celebrating early or late birthdays and still received the birthday note etc. very disappointing. The waiter added gratuity of 18% even though it was just 2 of us. The menu says auto gratuity is only added for parties of 6 or more, another issue. Overall the food was good but not worth the $300 bill. More options for sides are definitely needed such as rice, risotto, green beans, roasted potatoes.. etc. I ordered the branzino which was good but could have used more flavor . My boyfriend had the steak and lobster tail, the steak was great , the lobster tail was small but good. Our side was the broccolini, which could have been cooked more. We wanted to try the brunch one day but not sure after the dinner we had

                                                                                                          What a great experience. Had a really good time and enjoyed the view. They were out of a couple cuts of beef. The one I wanted to order. They made it up to us in the end, and the evening was grand.

                                                                                                          Very friendly staff. Not sure exactly what the drinks were at the bottom of the elevator. Also, I know it’s becoming the norm, but automatically adding an 18% tip is no longer a tip—it’s a fee. We were a group of four. It’s what we would tip anyway, just frustrated by the assumption. Also, the restaurant no longer rotates. They keep the bar area with the “best view,” per staff.
