Great atmosphere and ambience but seemed to be no structure at all with the waiters. We started with one irish girl and finished with a french one but had many others in between. They run around like blow flies with no personalisation to your table. 3 times i had to ask to have our champagne topped up. Waiters just kept walking past our empty glasses. We chose sparkling water and were charged for a bottle that was also used on the table beside us. The waiter kept using out sparkling to fill them up. There seem to be a muddled mess with the ice buckets. We chose a number of share dishes. Some good some bad. Duck liver pate amazing. Fried olives were supposedly stuffed but had nothing inside and just tasted like a crumbed olive. The soft shell crab burgers looked amazing but tasted like a Mcdonalds Fillet O Fish. No spice or bang or seasoning. Very basic with what tasted like big mac sauce. Chargrilled Octopus was the standout for me. 10/10. Pork Croquettes also very yum. Shared both the desserts on menu. Forget the brulee and just get the shortbread.

Great experience visiting after long closure! Menu is vastly improved with more options and prices are higher, however quality is excellent! Could use some soft furnishings in fit out as very noisey, not sure on new style. Overall great time!

Food was good - ordered the tasting menu - was not asked about allergies/preferences or informed about what was on the menu. Ordered drinks after asking - had to continually ask for water to be filled. No offers of further drinks or topping up of drinks - would have spent more but wanted to leave as was annoyed with the service. Informed the waitress my partner burnt themselves on the metal skewers the lamb came out on. Given it would have been hot, but we both went to grab them - human instinct - but were not informed they were hot. Wine list - amazing - could have been a great experience but we left without dessert as this was taking forever and just wanted to leave the place. Staff seemed occupied with cleaning plates and a table, than serving paying customers. Average to say the least. Wish I had read the reviews before booking - a lot speak to our experience.

I dined there last week and experience was excellent So I returned this week, and was disappointed. My shared plate was almost cold as was my main meal fillet and also dry .

Very old friends Christmas catch up - we had a booth in the back and everything was perfect! Highly recommend the Moreton bay bug crostini and crumbed olives!! An excellent bottle of Andre Clouet Rose Champagne 🍾

Paid over $30 for a 150ml glass of wine. We disputed it but no action on behalf of Cru bar staff

It was a great experience, We selected numerous food items from the share menu and matched wines to our food. Was wonderful.

Wonderful night at the revamped Cru Bar. A long time favourite has just got better. From the interesting menu that delivered in spades to the extensive wine list and top notch service. Between five of us we tried many of the menu items and everyone raved. Something to note - the shared plates really should be shared. We all chose two ‘entrees/ shared’ items and the portions are generous. Good value for a delightful night out.
