Everything was great including the weather. We sat outside on the patio and it was perfect. The musician was really good. The food was good but they gave my friend and I the wrong steak frites and we ended up eating our meals, individually thinking mines overcooked and her thinking mines undercooked. The drinks were tasty and I recommend getting the slicer tray. That was the best part of the meal.

Made a reservation because it was close to brunch. Got there and told we would be seated but just had to clean off our table. Waited 15 minutes and saw other people walk in and get seated before us but asked and they were able to remedy it pretty quickly. Got the ham egg grilled cheese good but greasy. There were lots and lots of nats swarming. It’s good bar food with a nice vibe overall.

It felt there was no urgency for our party of 2 - it took about and hour to get our food (burger and salad) and there were multiple times someone came over and said “so sorry, your food will be out” and it was another 10-15 mins. I’m not sure we’d be back

Culinary Dropout is our favorite restaurant in Austin. In fact, we go out of our way when we are anywhere near Austin to stop in for a meal. The food is outstanding! No gross, exotic combinations of spices, sauces, etc. that you get at many "up-and-coming" restaurants today, just downright good food that is excellent every time we are there. We are waiting for the day when they bring their world class meatloaf back. In the meantime, we have adopted the fried chicken as one of our new favorites. And, let me mention the wonderful assortment of wait staff and other employees who treat you like royalty every time you come in. We can't thank you enough! Especially those of you who are now our friends. Hats off to your caring style and your listening ears and hearts! Don't pass this place up! Believe us, the wait is worth it if you can't get a reservation.

Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. My only complaint is that the drinks were really pricey and there was a lot of ice in a very small glass. Otherwise, I’d highly recommend giving them a try!

I’ve been here before and I have always had a pretty good experience. This time was disappointing. It was my daughter’s 21st birthday dinner. Our waitress was nice. She came over pretty quickly when we got seated. After that everything took forever. 20-30 minutes to get our first beers…yes just beer. 45 minutes to an hour to get our food and it wasn’t even hot. I will go back for another shot at some point. Hopefully it’s better.
