A management problem: We were dining before a show at the Orpheum. Service was terribly slow. Staff seemed confused and distracted. Only 5 of 6 entree were served and it took over 15 minutes for someone to light a fire to fix the situation. That guest didn’t get their food before we had to ask for the check and run to the theater. - the service was terrible. On the way out I heard from a regular they were catering an event upstairs and (apparently) neglecting the restaurant which was easily at half capacity. - I want to give this place another chance because the food that did arrive was tasty but I will never rely on them for a pre show dinner. I tried to find management, but they were also nowhere to be found so this review is what you get.

Pasta was very good. I had the wild mushroom ravioli . Very tasty but be prepared to be in a food coma afterwards .

We had an amazing dining experience at Amante Restaurant ! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the service was top-notch. Our server was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The food was simply incredible. I ordered the “penne allá vodka” and it was cooked to perfection. The flavors were rich and vibrant, and the portion was very generous. I was impressed by the attention to detail in the presentation, it made the dish even more appealing. I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu items. If you're looking for a great homemade Italian meal in Downtown LA , I highly recommend Amante Restaurant. Five stars and a big thumbs up from me!"

It was truly amazing the food was so authentic, I’ve never been to any authentic Italian restaurant. I’ve only been to sadly to say Olive Garden, so this was most definitely a great experience. I will be going back very very soon.

Authentic pasta and made with exceptional quality and taste. Too bad the cheese wheel is unavailable during lunch hour, only during dinner service, that’s the only down side.

It was such a amazing dinner, had a great time spending my 5 year anniversary with my boyfriend. The food was delicious and very peaceful, the wine an amazing and truly delicious. Definitely would come back.

Our waitress was from north Italy and she provided us with so much insight on different items on the menu. This was a very lowkey date-night spot and was a hidden gem. The food was great and the pizza was amazing. I would suggest ordering a pizza if you typically like more volume. I would order an entree of pasta if you just want savory food. We also had an ipa that was imported from Italy and it was smooth.

Amante has been on my list for a while and so happy we finally visited! Had the cheese bread, spaghetti al forno, and the carbonara - every dish excellent! The staff were wonderful and very attentive! Can't wait to return!

We ordered our food and I was notified all the other food was done that my particular selection could not be made after waiting 25 minutes. So I did not order anything. I left the restaurant hungry I was extremely disappointed and I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone. All the food was good. The servers was horrible.
