Cutlery Works is the largest food hall in the North of England, spread out over two floors featuring a mixture of permanent and semi-permanent unique and independent restaurants, communal dining spaces, bars and coffee roasters.

Inspired by food halls from across the world, each restaurants has its own identity, engaging with neighbourhood restaurants and chefs, bringing in new talent as well as working with established restauranteurs.

Cutlery Works aims to be a one stop destination for friends, families and even dogs, to bring you a truly unique dining experience. We are a card payment venue only.

This was our second visit we all had something different to eat and all of us really enjoyed our food

Great place to eat as there is so much choice , the beers at the upstairs bars are the best tinned real n craft ales about . Could not fault the atmosphere of the place even with the Coronavirus kicking around . Have been loads n will keep going !!!!👍🏻👍🏻👌👌😀😀😀

First time here, fantastic experience. We made a reservation ( I would recommend as it is super busy ) and the table was situated in a great place in the food hall. We used the app which made life much easier ( no sorting of Bill's at the end if the night ). We ordered a mix of food and we didnt wait long. Great evening would highly recommend.

Choice of son for his birthday. He will be returning. We chose wrong seating but staff were more than willing to help to resolve. Service and staff excellent.

I’d booked a high top table for 8 people to celebrate my partner’s 40th birthday with his family. When we arrived, we got told our table number and where it was located and went off to find it ourselves only to discover that someone was sat at the table and there was no reserved sign on it. When I mentioned this to the staff I was asked if there were any other tables free and just to take one of those instead. The food and drinks were great and I can’t knock the service of the waiting staff, but expected better considering I’d made the effort to book a table for a special occasion.

Yes I would recommend the food and ambiance, however I would not recommend OpenTable to book. We booked as a party of nine, including two small children and a baby who needed a highchair, and completed these details on the booking and, because of the children, asked for lower seating rather than the higher chairs and a highchair (options on opentable). We arrived to find that we were booked on a higher seating table - a highchair would not even reach the table and its a long way down for toddlers. The guy who was in charge was most unhelpful, basically asking me to prove that I had included these details on OpenTable. We asked to be moved and his first response was no, even though there were other tables free with other bookings on. Seeing our predicament other customers already seated said they would move tables to allow our grandchildren to sit by a table. The guy in charge told them not to move! After ten minutes he condescendingly 'allowed' us to sit on an adjacent table, with no apology whatsoever. A great start to our first visit to Cutlery Works.

Really great selection of food & cool dining experience. With the vendors being independent, the portion sizes & value can vary slightly, but all in all it was great value. I love being able to choose between loads of different vendors. I recommend the oxtail tacos from Fin & Bone - so tender & delicious! Edo Sushi has to be up there with the best sushi in the north. The sev puri from MA-ba is also devine! The app is a great idea but poorly executed. It would be wise to allow customers to browse freely between vendors, adding options to the cart as they go, instead of having to individually select each vendor & enter your table number just to view the menu. It felt like we ended up spending most of our time navigating the app rather than talking with each other. We were also told that they had stopped providing menus on the tables. I can understand this, but it would be useful for those who don't enjoy using the app. Also, it's unclear what I can do with all the points I've racked up from ordering! Overall, a really great experience. I can't fault the food, I just wish the app was a bit more user friendly.
