Most know the Gigante brothers as social media influencers on TIKTOK, @vincentgigantee, @antoniogigantee & @vitoandniyah, but they are italian Jersey Boys at heart, and are bringing an authentic taste of Italy to Dumont, NJ this November. In the signature words of

boxer/influencer Vincent, you won’t “Forget It”!

“We are excited to show Dumont our family faves & hope to offer a modern twist on old school Italian cuisine in our brand new space!” said Vincent. In addition to traditional Italian fare, Da Mimmo will offer brick oven pizza from a wood burning oven, homemade mozzarella, and pastries made on site!

The little one and I wanted Italian and upon searching came across this beautiful restaurant. We walked in the door and there was such a warm feeling like you were amongst family. We were quickly seated and when our waiter arrived he told us the specials of the day. I had the seafood special and the little one had pizza. It was total perfection. The chef came over and spoke with us which was a nice touch. Hands down you won’t be disappointed with the food or the service. We will definitely be back.

Very good food and service, much better than most of the trendy see-and-be-seen restaurants in North Jersey.

The food was really good especially the pizzas. The timing was poor. Party of 4. One person ordered pasta dish which came out 15 minutes before any of the pizzas. The coffees came out after the desert was already finished. There was a musician there who was real good but too loud for the space. They need to get their timing better. This isn’t the first time we have had this issue. We really want them to succeed but they have to get their act together and take it more seriously.

Delicious food and wonderful service. The chef introduced himself and made everyone feel like family. BYOB is a plus. Will definitely go back!

The food was decent and the prices were fair. The ambiance was awful. I felt like I was eating in a party room of a roller rink. Not just because of the graffiti on the walls but the placement of the tables and overall lack of design to the place. There are so many good Italian restaurants in this area in this price range that I enjoy so much more than Da Mimi that I most likely won’t be back.

Food was great! Entertainment was fantastic. Really enjoyed ourselves during dinner. Owners are very nice people and take the time to come and ask how everything is going. Our new go to spot for dinner.

Had read mixed reviews which is why you have to try a place yourself. The mini rice balls and sauce were on point and delicious. The margarita pie was true Neapolitan style. Nice fluffy tasty crust just the right about if salt. We had two pasta dishes that were cooked perfectly! Large portions will def try again. BYOB local spot. I wish them well

The food was excellent just took a bit to long to come out. Interior needs some work but have been recommending to all my friends and will go back for sure!!

This restaurant is newly opened and we were excited to try it. Our waiter, Giuseppe, was charming. We ordered a pizza to share, along with salad and soup and our main dishes. The biggest problem— it all came at once an hour later. My husband told them to cancel the pizza, since our main dishes arrived. They explained that they don’t have their new oven yet and can only make 2 pizzas at a time. I say take the pizzas off the menu until you have the new oven. We were a table of 4 and there was a large party of over 20 requiring most of the waiters’ attention. They were gracious and gave us the pizza on the house.I had veal valdastano, which was quite tasty. The Diavalo pizza was also very good. I will go back, but I will wait a few months for them to work out the kinks.
