   Traveling to Chicago I finally planned enough ahead to book a reservation at Daisies. Even on a Tuesday night, you need to book well ahead. It was worth the wait. The wait staff are amazing and guide you through the strategy for dinner. Since plates are meant for sharing to allow the table to sample as many tastes as possible, you need a strategy. Our first issue is we had a vegetarian in the group, and out waiter guided us through the best choice for appetizers and the pasta dishes that are vegetarian or where the meat can easily be offered on the side. He helped us decide how many dishes would work best for us. He gave excellent advice on cocktails and wine and when he saw out teenager did not enjoy her homemade soda, he brought out a different one and a sample of another to make sure she had something she liked (and who knew the herb soda would end up tasting like a fresh, healthy sprite!). Straight through to the dessert the meal was fantastic, all of the pasta and the chicken leg confit were delicious and unique. Can’t wait to come back!

   Server was very friendly and helpful in placing our order. We got two appetizers and two entrees and shared. The carrot pillows were sensational! Pastas super flavorful and melts in your mouth. We cannot wait to get back to Daisies!

   food was amazing!! Wait staff super friendly, knowledgeable and deserving of the 25%!! Will be returning! Pastries were delicious, coffee so good and loved the space!

   Was here for brunch and food was delicious. I got the gravlax and my friend got the scrambled eggs. There was nothing ordinary about either dish. I love that it is a limited menu since I usually have a hard time making up my mind. Warning, if you are driving to the restaurant, parking (at least on a Sunday) is a real challenge. I parked 3 blocks away. Not a big deal, but was surprised. Allow extra time if you are driving. Also, a shout out for really nice and clean ladies room.

   super cute place. however, hostess maybe just needs training. we walked in for an 8:45 reservation with a full lobby and were told “we’ll have your table ready in a couple minutes” no offer to go sit at the bar or telling us they were running behind. watched multiple multiple tables that came in after us get seated before us. there was also a couple that was there when we came in who actually got up and confronted the hostess about being skipped multiple times and the hostess just told her “we’ll have your table ready in a couple minutes” service was pretty decent other than that, just kind of annoying we had to wait almost 20 minutes past our reservation time with no explanation or apology; when, if we were 20 minutes late our reservation (and deposit) would’ve been considered forfeited.

   Server must have been having a bad day but that made it hard to have a nice meal. Felt we were bothering him the entire time. Food was just ok, but it could have been because I couldn’t eat meat.

   The food was excellent and very creative. Vibe was fantastic. Wine pour was very light.....must have been 4 ounces.... But I would definitely return!!

   One of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Chicago. Each dish was a thoughtful balance between classic inspiration and modern technique. Highly recommended.

    The food was great, with unexpected flavors that worked! Dill and red sauce, grapes with cream sauce... and somehow it was all delicious. The desserts were above and beyond. Not an afterthought at all!
