When visiting the restaurant, patrons descend 18 feet underground in a canopied glass elevator, accessed from street level, for a culinary experience unlike any other. The American Steakhouse offers an expansive 1,800 square foot subterranean courtyard allowing patrons to dine al fresco and enjoy a New Orleans-inspired exterior space. This cool oasis is complete with a 20 foot, 5-tiered granite water wall, multi-tiered landscaping, lava rock fire pit, and black granite bar. Dakota's below-ground patio has long been considered one of the city's most romantic dining spots.

We believe the best steaks come from the best cut and quality. That’s why we get all of our beef fresh from renowned beef purveyors, Allen Brothers. Each cut is corn and grain fed USDA Prime steak that our chef handpicks. Each steak is aged for a minimum of 28 days for a perfectly tender, juicy bite every time.

It is our goal to give you a great meal every time you join us for lunch or dinner.

Brain L was a fantastic server and provided an insight on the fan favorites at Dakotas. The crab cake lollipops, Aussie ribeye and cheese cake were all great recommendations provided by Brian. When I come back I’ll be sure to ask for him again.

Our first time to Dakota's the service was wonderful about 5 different workers wish me happy birthday. Brian was so helpful,he gave us his recommendation on the menu and was so attentive to us. The food was amazing we will be going back.

As usual the food was excellent, service was outstanding (staff and management), and the setting was cozy and elegant. The staff were responsive and curtuous. The host was very welcoming, accommodating and responsive to our needs. As always the overall experience was special and memorable. Thank you.

The service was the best… The absolute best! Nothing but positive things to say about the entire experience. The food, the service, ambiance were all top notch. Dinner, date, business meeting, whatever the occasion this place will not disappoint. I recommend asking for Henry… He’s second to none. Incredible attention to detail. The famous tater tots were very good, the oysters they’ve selection are on point, the steaks are melt in your mouth amazing and the wine list is robust. Overall great experience.

Exceptional service. Food was cooked perfect. My wife's Birthday celebration was a superb experience. From arrival to departure the staff ensured we were well taken care of the entire evening. All are to be commended.

Love Dakotas! Food is always amazing (absolutely obsessed with their tots) and service is always stellar. Kayla is fantastic and Matt makes a mean spressy teen 🍸. 10/10 would recommend.

I have written about 3 reviews in my entire life. I have never tasted food that divine, and the ambience and service were both fantastic. Worth every penny, and if I was rich I’d go back all the time.

I went for an anniversary dinner and it was great! The details upon arriving to our table were so thoughtful and cherished. Our server, Brian, was amazing! His attentiveness and food recommendations were completely spot on. I would 100% recommend Dakota’s and will definitely be returning!
