Damas, an upscale Syrian restaurant located on Van Horne Avenue is worth trying out. You will be charmed by the Oriental decor and most impressed by their refined and rich cuisine. This modern but authentic gastronomy will make your mouth water with all their specialties starting from the fattouche, the appetizing mouth-melting lamb leg to the cherry kebab.     Absolutely wonderful experience- had the tasting menu and it didn’t disappoint. Probably one of the best meals of my life. Everything was fresh, incredibly flavorful and served perfectly. Waiter was awesome as was everyone at the restaurant. I highly recommend and can’t wait to go back.

    Beautiful atmosphere and decor. The food was delicious, fresh and elevated. We ordered 4 entrees and 2 mains ( on mixed grilled meat platter for 2 , there was 4 of us ). A coffee, some chai tea and pistachio ice-cream. Oh a a bottle of red. Lovely! About 130$ each

    One of my favorite restaurants in Montreal, every time I go it gets better and better. Highly recommend.

    My experience at Damas was excellent! Everything was great - food, drinks, service and atmosphere! I really recommend this restaurant to everyone!

    When we travel, I spend time researching restaurants. We were thrilled to find that Damas is excellent. If we lived in Montreal we would eat here weekly. It is worth it. Our sever suggested a Syrian Bordeaux style blend and it was amazing. Entree portions are large, so watch it with the excellent first course choices like delicious octopus and grilled halloumi. I had lamb shoulder with tomato and okra and it was amazing. My wife enjoyed the duck. Service was also great. Damas is a do not miss restaurant experience.
