Great New Mexican restaurant near Vail. Food was excellent and so was the service. Staff were very attentive without being intrusive. Interesting the menu had several kinds of tequila but no margaritas listed on the cocktail menu. One big draw back for my party was the lightening! It was very very bright. We think if the owners dimmed the lights it would make a much warmer atmosphere and a dining experience that complimented the quality of their food. We will be going back.

Awesome experience at this new restaurant. Chips, salsa and guacamole were spot on and delicious. Agua fresca de jamaica (hibiscus) was perfecto! Tacos de pulpo (octopus) in al pastor sauce was delicioso, haven’t had 🐙 before. Service was pleasant and prompt, always refilling the waters and food didn’t take long to be served. A exquisite culinary addition to Vail for Mexican cuisine.

Terrible dining experience. Entrees took 2 hours to arrive. Wait staff did not apologize or update our table. Total absence of service… did not refill water, bring utensils, etc. The food was decent but the whole meal was ruined by the terrible service and kitchen delay. The kicker was they brought the bill with a mandatory 20% gratuity included. When our table brought this to their attention, they were incredibly condescending and blamed the kitchen. This restaurant is doomed to fail. I do not recommend going to this restaurant.

We had a very disappointing evening at the restaurant and I would not recommend it to anyone. From the time in which we were seated we waited 1 hour and 10 minutes before our entrees were delivered. There was a large group seated before us, but they were in a different room from us and we weren’t told about the group. Neither our server nor the manager told us about the delay. There were only 5 other tables and folks at the bar. It was not full. When our food was finally delivered, they didn’t even apologize until we said it had been over an hour since we ordered. Then no offer of a discount, free round of drinks, nothing. When the check came, we asked for some compensation. The manager then came back with a discount. The food was good (not great). The fish was very dry in my wife’s mahi mahi tacos. I split the Chef’s Favorite entree with my son that was good. My daughter’s steak quesadilla was good. I wouldn’t say it was an excellent meal like previous reviews. The low scores are due to the service and long wait for food.

While it may have felt longer, our records show your wait time for food was closer to 35 minutes after you ordered the entrées. Regardless, we understand the frustration and will review this to improve communication and efficiency. 2. Our manager offered a 25% discount as a gesture of goodwill, which we hoped would address the situation. 3. We’re glad you enjoyed parts of your meal but regret the mahi mahi tacos weren’t to your satisfaction. We’ve shared this feedback with our culinary team to ensure improvements are made. We value your feedback and hope to provide a better experience in the future.

This was an amazing Mexican restaurant. Not your typical tourist Mexican fare. The flavors were outstanding. I would highly recommend the steak Aguachile as an appetizer. It was one of the best Mexican dishes I have had in thirty years of frequenting Mexican restaurants. Check out the skirt steak as well--excellent. Vail has added a really interesting and intriguing new place for authentic Mazatlan cuisine.

Excellent food and service. La pellegrina cocktail was great! One warning - open table "directions" and map take you to the wrong place. Refer to the address in the notes to get to the right place - next to the highline hotel on the frontage road. Worth it!

We are vegetarian and found enough variety for 5 people. We had great queso fundido, beans, vegetable fajita. They had just opened in the last two weeks so they had some trouble getting food out fast but i expect they’ll get through initial growing pains.

Excellent food. Chips are homemade. We ordered 2 appetizers and 4 meals plus their dessert. Everything was very good.
