Delmonico’s Italian Steakhouse offers unforgettable meals in an equally unforgettable atmosphere. Our guests enjoy the Italian-themed music with plenty of Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack; the caricatures on the walls; the big-city feel; and the warmth of the wood-paneled dining rooms. I’m dairy free and the chef was able to accommodate everything I asked for (I gave the waitress backups that didn’t require modification if my requests couldn’t be met but none of the backups were needed). The chef made chicken Marsala without butter, sautéed the onions without butter (s/he made them sooo good), and provided an alternate dip for the calamari that didn’t have dairy. Other entrees we got were filet, Delmonico steak, and Alfredo. Oh and mozzarella fritta and shrimp cocktail for apps. If you’re looking for that old fashioned giant delicious shrimp, it’s here. So so good. Cocktail sauce definitely has some bite too. All were delicious and the reason we chose to come here again. The only cons were we didn’t get bread (we had so much food anyway we didn’t really need it so didn’t say anything) and there was a cold draft where we were seated but again decided it was fine since we could see they were clearly very busy that night.

Any time we have dined at Delmonicos, it has been enjoyable and felt intimate. I’ve learned that this is NOT the place to take my wife for an intimate Valentines dinner in the future. The Rochester restaurant decided that in order to accommodate as many couples as possible, they would turn a banquet room into what looked and felt like a speed dating venue. There were probably 30-35, 2 person tables set up in this room, 5 across and 6 or 7 deep. Though the food there is good and we had no complaints for what we usually order from this restaurant. The servers bringing out the food were a bit confused as to which food went to which table. It was almost comical. At one point I wanted to stand up, wish everyone in the room a Happy Valentine’s Day, and then state that every 6 minutes the people facing the back of the room would be switching seats. Let the speed dating begin! My wife laughed at the idea and said no, don’t embarrass her. Overall it was not the worst experience we have ever had dining out, but it is probably the last one at this location for Valentine’s Day. I guess we will have this as a memory for the rest of our lives.

Some of the best quality you will find in Rochester! From the food, to the customer service, and more! Went to celebrate my birthday, and they even sang for me! You will not be disappointed!

The mozzarella sticks were cold and the tiramisu was very runny it went through the fork which is weird the filet Marsala was rear after asking for it to be med well

The fillet was delicious as was the pasta side dish. The Delmonico was over done for my husband even when he asked for it to be medium rare.

We had a wonderful dinner. The waitress was very attentive and provided information when we asked her questions. The food was very good. All in all we had a very nice dinner there.
