Descanso is a modern taqueria in that it celebrates authentic Mexican flavors and recipes executed in a lively setting that brings in the smells, sounds and energy of a busy Mexican town.

At a Plancha Table, you will receive an intimate experience with our Planchero Chefs. This is a multi-course menu where your meal is cooked in front of you at your table! Please go to our DESCANSO PLANCHA DINING page in order to book for this experience online.

STANDARD DINING

TACO BAR
The Taco Bar (Counter) is an a la carte version of the Plancha Experience where one of our chefs cooks in front of you at a counter top.

                            I had such a great time. I celebrated my birthday during brunch and our secret was so attentive. The bottomless mimosas is so worth it. My glass was never empty. The food was also good and very fresh. Would definitely come back.

                            I specifically asked for a patio table next to a heater. They gave 2 heaters to a single party and not one to us. I found that incredibly bad customer service and made me question if I want to come back. The waiter took our entire order and lost the ticket and came back and had to take our order again. I have been a regular at this restaurant but each time I come it gets worse and worse.

                            The host was quite rude. We asked to move tables, and after the server checked with the host, they said yes. However, once we were seated, the host came back and asked us to move again, claiming the table was reserved. The whole interaction felt awkward and uncomfortable, and we won’t be returning.

                            Descanso is a great place to go and celebrate or just enjoy good food. The staff from the host stand to the servers were very kind.

                            Dinner for 7 on a Thursday evening: food was good, service was stellar. Guacamole was probably the least tasty I’ve eaten but the nachos were great, Elote was very flavorful. I had the Relleno tacos and will be ordering again, and everyone else loved their choices. Margaritas were popular and very fresh. Will return for more, soon. The music was a bit too loud and made it hard to hear each other especially after it got more crowded.

                            We had made a reservation arrived a little early and got seated immediately. Our server arrived within a minute and got our drink order and was extremely professional and positive. Food was great, service great and atmosphere was great. We'll definitely be back again. Thank you!!
