Desi Vega is the restaurateur of Desi Vega's Steakhouse, Mr. John's Steakhouse, and Desi Vega's Prime Burgers & Shakes. Desi grew up in the restaurant business and was groomed by Ella Brennan at Commander's Palace, Ruth Fertel of Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and Emeril Lagasse. His attention to detail and commitment to excellence makes for a truly memorable dining experience.
Our USDA Prime steaks are carefully selected, hand-cut and aged for tenderness, then seared to perfection and served on a sizzling plate. Seafood selections include steamed crabs and lobster, Gulf fish in various preparations each day, and plenty of other seafood.

Last night was fabulous. Food was delicious. Service was excellent. The twin waiters were perfect.

Overall fantastic evening. Waiter Matthew was excellent. I feel he went above and beyond. The restaurant Manager really took care of everything. Came to the table a few times and thanked us for being there. 10 out of 10 evening. Will be back for sure. AAAAAA+++++

We really enjoyed the food but our waiter was overwhelmed because he was serving a large party as well as the four of us. Our friends received their salad and I mentioned that my husband had also ordered a salad (that we were sharing) but it did not come out until the entrees came out - he had a salad, crab cakes and a potato at the same time. The food was really good!

We ve been numerous times and the food is delicious but for some reason the service was aweful last night. First of all it took forever to get our food. Some dishes came out even later than the first ones they brought. They totally forgot to bring one of the drinks we ordered. We ve ordered this one bottle of wine numerous time and every time they say they do not have it. Then take it off the menu. Just not a good night there. Disappointed

Trout almondine was perfectly fried and very fresh. The Louie Salad with Thousand Island dressing with a kick was scrumptious. I also enjoyed their specialty cocktail, Citrus Mojito

When I travel to New Orleans this restaurant is a must I look forward to coming here. The seafood is excellent.
