Voted Best New Restaurants "Class of 13" by New Orleans Magazine. Desi Vega is the restaurateur of Desi Vega's Steakhouse and Mr. John's Steakhouse. Both restaurants are consistently outstanding and locals' favorite place to "see and be seen." Desi grew up in the restaurant business and was groomed by Ella Brennan at Commander's Palace, Ruth Fertel of Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and Emeril Lagasse. His attention to detail and commitment to excellence makes for a truly memorable dining experience. Our USDA Prime steaks are carefully selected, hand-cut and aged for tenderness, then seared to perfection and served on a sizzling plate. We hope you'll visit to see for yourself!

    Devo dire che questa è il miglior ristorante tipo steakhouse su 5 che ho provato a New Orleans, soprattutto per la qualità e il servizio. Il menu è esteso sia per cibo che vino, birra e cocktail. Lo raccomando vivamente.

    We had a reservation for 7:00pm and still had to wait for a table. We noticed by the time we got our entrees that other tables had bread and we were never offered any. We would run out of drinks before asked about another round. The Caesar salad was dry. The fish of the day and the ribeye were delicious. For the price we paid for dinner at a steakhouse we would not return.

    We enjoyed a round of drinks at the bar and Andrew was kind enough to carry our drinks to the table for us when our table was ready. Kevin and his team were excellent. Very attentive. Steaks and sides were perfection. Can’t wait to come back.

    Fantastic experience. Crab cake, steaks, crawfish and andouille mac and cheese were all delicious. Darrell and DJ were awesome. Can’t wait to come back.

    It was perfect. The steak was scrumptious. I also had mashed sweet potatoes, cream spinach and their bread pudding

    A colleague of my wife recommended Desi Vegas & we were very impressed. The seafood tower was quite the presentation & a delicious meal for two. Topping it off with bread pudding was a memorable meal. Great wine & drinks also.

    Food quality was great. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and the sides were delicous. The serving staff was very attentive and courteous.

    Wow! What a fantastic restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant based on the quality and taste of food, the ambience and their exceptional service. Our waiters Kevin and Pauly were the best. Probably one of the top two steaks I’ve ever had in my life. We will be back.
