The DeSimone's Steakhouse is nestled in the mountains, near Hoover Dam, inside the Railroad Pass Casino and Hotel, serving quality cuts of meat, fresh seafood and Italian dishes in an Old Vegas setting. DeSimone's Steakhouse offers guests a fine-casual dining experience. A starter of coconut shrimp with an apricot sweet chili, spinach artichoke dip with warm tortilla chips, or traditional French onion soup. Guests can feast on a main course of filet mignon with lobster tail, Thai curry seabass, or indulge in our famous slow-roasted prime rib. Our restaurant also offers fresh salad, hearty soups and scrumptious desserts.

DeSimone's Steakhouse offers a selection of wine and handmade craft cocktails. Hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 4pm to 10pm.

I booked this steakhouse after reading the many great reviews, and was so excited to take the girl I was talking to here. This was the only steakhouse on my side of town, and I was so excited to try it. When we arrived, the hostess informed us that we were a little to early, and although there were plenty of empty table( I know this is said a lot but we saw only four people sitting down at two tables, and I wish I was joking about that number.) that was no big deal, we understood. When we were finally say down, we were seen and were told we would be seen right away. I’m normally not one to complain but taking over 25 minutes to get water was a little outrageous, and it would have taken longer had I not gone into a coughing fit because of my hernia. I get it, it’s valentine’s day but a quick water doesn’t take long. Now here comes the worst part of this experience, the food. We chose the pre-determined menu for $125. I’m normally no picky eater, and I never leave reviews like this but, with the quality of food served that night, I couldn’t just stay quiet about this. Out came the first course, the crab cakes. The crab cakes were pure mush, which would be no problem except for the fact the only taste you got was of pure spinach or something basically. I choked it down with the salsa that was given on the side, it made it somewhat bearable. Next came the onion soup. The cheese was clumped up in the middle, and couldn’t even be cut with a knife without an obscene amount of strength. Once it was finally cut, I stirred it around and tried it, only to almost spit it out at my date. The cheese had a pure rubber consistency, and it would have been better tasting to just get a spoonful of oil. Her salad was decent, possibly the only thing bearable of the entire night.Then came the new york strip steaks. I was so excited to try them but as soon as I bit into it, it would have been better to bite onto a tire, which were my dates exact words. I feel embarrassed that I chose here

My husband and I came here for dinner. He had the corn, bacon soup which was very good and the rib eye steak (also very good) and I had the filet medallions with a 4 ounce lobster tail. My meal was also excellent and is just the right amount for a surf and turf, even tho I took some of it home. What makes the evening enjoyable is our server Ophelia. She is so attentive, cheery, professional; just excellent at her job.

We chose the 2 dinners for $50 option available on Wednesdays and Sundays. We had salmon and a chicken dinners, each served with mashed potatoes. You also have a choice of French onion soup or salad plus they serve a big dish of almandine green beans. The final touch is a choice of dessert. Our bill came to $85 and that included 3 cocktails. It was delicious.

Dinner was like stepping back in time to an old Vegas steak house. Autumn was at the door to show us to our table and was very friendly and polite . The seating was spacious and the seats were comfortable. Mattie brought us water and was there to clear used dishes as they emptied and her smile light up the room. Our server was Vinny. He was friendly and professional. He answered any questions and made suggestions when we asked. When our food came we couldn’t be happier . Everything was delicious and the portions were substantial. When the bill came we felt it was reasonable and we still had some gambling money.

Very good service. Wait staff was very attentive. The food was delicious. The filet and Porterhouse steaks was excellent. Jo's spinach salad is delicious.
