   We finally decided to try Destino. They were very busy tonight, a good sign. I started with their Old Fashioned which was one of the best ones I have had. Well balanced and flavorful. I wish they had the large ice cubes, but this wasn’t a full glass of ice that diluted the drink. Kudos to the bartender. Caesar salad was fresh with fresh cheese on it. Anchovies were so good (yes they are optional). My wife asked for a “custom” chicken dish and they accommodated. Even on such a busy night. It was yummy. Based on the recommendation, I ordered a steak. I am a carnivore so always looking for a great place that is reasonable. I ordered the NY Strip, Medium Rare. Their steaks are indeed Prime (so many places say they have prime and it’s anything but). It was really nice. Unfortunately, it came out raw to rare. The waiter didn’t really check on us, and after a while, I asked someone to get him. He said they could make it right. I said, one favor, let’s not over cook it. I’d rather just box it and fix at home. The steak came back and was medium and even medium well in some places. The owner actually brought it out, but immediately left. No one asked how it was. I ate the little that was Medium, but I am an OCD medium rare steak eater (sorry to the chef). It was flavorful but over cooked. The waiter finally came back after a long while … not sure why someone wouldn’t have checked if they redid it right. That was really my largest complaint. Food can always miss, this is clearly a good restaurant. But if you bring food that has been corrected, spend 30 seconds and ask the customer to check it.

   Loved the food. Are waitress Carmen was awesome. The food was awesome. Definitely going to come back

   Karla is an incredible server whose charming personality and expert menu guidance enhanced our dining experience beyond measure. The food was delicious.

   Everything is fresh and made there. It's easy for them to accommodate allergies. We had the grilled vegetables, salmon and short ribs ravioli.

   Overall… good experience. Some service issues (bread brought out with no butter… butter had crumbs on it when it did arrive). Food was quickly brought to the table… a little too quick for a made to order location. Food was good! Ordered pasta, but no spoon brought with food… had to ask separately. Overall great ambiance and very nice people who work there.

   Our wait staff, Lauren, was patient and attentive. We wanted a leisurely dinner to catch up and Lauren delivered! Food, eggplant parmesan and Stefano’s rigatoni, was fantastic.

   Excellent service, food delicious, ambience similar to dining downtown Chi! Will return and yes, I recommend.

   We had carpaccio and the beet salad first. Both were fresh and tasted great. Then we had Osso Buco and the bucatini with vodka sauce. Both were excellent. Will be back to try some other dishes.

    Prices are way too high. We ordered penne pasta and sauce on side for my son and it was 28.00.
